  1. I believe the patent is 5,293,708 which covers a grip/frame assembly. It doesn't expire until 2014. It covers both the frame and the grip. From what I heard from Dawson, it is how the grip attaches to the frame. But then again what you wrote is correct. Just being picky.
  2. The black base pad is the original +2 pad for the pre-ban mags with the 140 mm mag gage. The blue pad is the latest version of the +2 pad for the 141.25 mag gage. Both of the +2 pad have been discontinued. The +2 pad on a new 140 tube can cause problems with the follower going below the mag ribs and jamming as well as being longer the allowed in limited.
  3. I think what you are looking at is the rail on the slide portion which runs on the inside of the frame and looks like a cut but is the rail. This is visable like this because the dustcover does not extend to the end of the muzzle. I seem to remember reading on this forum or on Hennings website that he had cut off part of the full dustcover from one of his guns but not sure if it was this one. He didn't cut the dust cover. EAA doesn't import the short dust cover model, just the long dust cover model.
  4. It wasn't the early AM and it wasn't the next day saver. It was supposed to by by 10:30 and it showed up at 5:45. Fortunately the shop I was going to is open 24 hours. I made it in by 7:00 and had the lathe fixed and the job payed for by 8:00.
  5. I hate waiting for a next day air package that should have been here 5 hours ago. It is listed on the tracking site as out for delivery. I've got to drive 3 hours one way to install the part to get a lathe up and operating and I can't wait till tomorrow cause I already have somewhere else I have to be. Morons. Sorry for the run on sentence.
  6. Ah but the Monk has to become an expert in kung-fu, and that is a two week course.
  7. I saw a Camdex loader with a primer feed system. It looked something like the pick Chuck posted. It had a bowl like the rf-100 but was larger. I watched the owner walk up to the machine with a mayo jar full of primers and just pour them in.

  14. I just spoke with a friend that made a pick-up at Zero. They had a multi ton shipment going to Fiocchi. They are considering adding another shift because they are so far behind. Don't know if they will or not.
  15. My theory is...... The answer is ALWAYS yes, it is just a matter of how you pose the question!!! What do you mean the answer is always yes I thought the answer was SEVEN?? Jim No, the ultimate answer is 42.
  16. I asked a high power shooter and was told to use 4895. Either H4895 or IMR4895.
  17. yeah, they still don't have any ready to go. I called up shooters connection and all they had were ones for a bushing gun and said dawson was not worrying about the guide rods right now. I asked Dave about the guide rods today. He said that was something he needed to get on. So, I expect they will get finished soon. I've seen some partially done, but not fitted together.

  19. Have you called Dawson direct? They just put a new CNC machine on the floor to increase capacity.
