  1. I recently picked up an STI Eagle in 40, I have mostly been a Glock shooter and I have to say the STI is a pleasure to shoot, I have not done any time comparisons but certainly feels good in the hand. I will try some matches with it this year to really see if there is a difference for me.
  2. I usually carry 5, 4 on the belt and one in the pocket, I will switch to carrying 5 on the belt just for piece of mind.
  3. Yea, reloading rounds the day before could be a recipe for disaster! Hope it all went well!
  4. My wife and I enjoyed the movie very much, some things were very fake(ie trigger control, over doing the recoil on the rifles, etc.) I thought the end of the movie was the best part, it was touching to see a state honor a hero, it showed people that's what a real hero looks like and how he touched peoples lives.
  5. I thought the action scenes were pretty good, enjoyed most of the gun handling also, as for the dog I agree, you do not mess with someones dog and expect to get away with it.
  6. I have read most of the Stephen Hunter books and do enjoy them immensely, he certainly has gone far with the Bob Lee Swagger character as well as the father Earl. I would think missing the Wives name kind of a big error though!
  7. Good to see you are getting back in the game! It is a lot of fun but you do realize quickly that your skills diminish fast when you do not shoot for awhile.
  8. Wish I lived closer to you BigBoss, that would be an awesome way to get it just right for your particular grip!
  9. I need to get into a better training routine, as some of these here look like a good place to start.
  10. I have also refused to join AARP, I do not like there politics at all! It just proves you have to be very careful which charities you donate to, most of them are very disappointing with crazy admin fees and very little actually goes to the original worthy cause.
  11. If you can take that extra second and visually verify I try to, does not always work with too much adrenalin in the system!
  12. IDPA is a lot of fun and addictive, they just need to stop making goofy rules.
  13. Glad that you are ok from the incident,Awesome customer service on STI's part, it says a lot about a company when they take care of something like that!
  14. I am just getting the CR speed pouches to have the option to use them for SS or DS mags, good choice for us lefty's!

    Glock 34

I can usually get 4-5" groups out of my gen 3 G34 or G35 offhand at 25 yards, sometimes better but not consistent enough!
  16. I like the 40's for the versatility of being able to upload or download depending what game (IDPA,USPSA) and what division you are shooting in.
  17. I do not use the safety on my CZ either , just put the hammer down and go from there.
  18. I have a metal container in the basement I use to store my primers and open shelves for the powder.
  19. I believe your shots should be aimed on a double tap, unless as was said the target is so close you could.not miss.
  20. Welcome to the forum! plenty of knowledgeable reloaders here. I have a Dillon 550 that I have had for lots of years( started out as a 450 and I upgraded it) best piece of equipment I ever bought, you will not be disappointed with your 650.
  21. Same here a minimum of double the amount of rounds required you never know when you will have to reshoot or lots of make up shots!
  22. I use a LW conversion barrel on my G35, no issues at all and no poi shifts either, it is a good option to give you more range time for less money.
  23. Find an instructor for your wife, it will make your life so much easier!
  24. I need to try to get to these this year, as there is not much for 3 gun in CT area!
