Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Does anyone have a set of Weathertechs in a 2015 or 2016 4Runner? How do they fit with the twist to lock down the mats attachment?
  2. I have been loading Rainier 230 RN with 4.9 gr VV n320. I want to work up a loading recipe for Rainier 200 HP with same powder. The RN projectiles are 0.64-0.66 while the HP are 0.594-0.596 (0.59). The OAL for my RN loads is 1.26 and have had no issues with those in my full size or commander size 1911s. What would be a good starting point for OAL and powder loads for the Rainier 200 HPs?
  3. Very good movie. Worth seeing more than once.
  4. Thanks for buying my Dan Wesson ECO and for the smooth transaction. I appreciated the clear communication and prompt payment and look forward to doing more business in the future :)

  5. I am a new 650 XL owner also. Had some initial growing pains myself but once through that part, reloading on it is very enjoyable and fun. Hope you will find it the same.
  6. I have been loading Rainier 230 gr RN at an OAL of 1.26 and have had no feeding problems in my 1911s. I am about to run out of the RN bullets and have scored Rainier 200 gr HP bullets I would like to use next. Since the bullets have very different configuration, I assume I need to adjust the OAL. Does it need to be a shorter, longer or the same OAL? What is your experience.
  7. Is there a trick to getting that last primer out of the pick-up tube and into the primer magazine? Seems like there is always one or two that won't fall into the magazine. Probably no big deal, but wondering if I am the only one who has an issue with this.
  8. I know this was posted many years ago, but I want to make sure I am understanding the suggestion. I want to adjust the powder measure so that I can do 10 powder drops and then measure the total powder and divide by 10 while there are still primers present in the feeder. So, shred is suggesting that the "black plastic angle part" be removed when doing this. Does anyone know which part this is on the Dillon website schematic of the Primer System Assembly? A part on a different one of their schematics?
  9. What caliber were you loading? 9mm? If one is loading 45 ACP, I wonder what combination of locater pin and o-ring works the best. Anyone have experience with that combo?
  10. I have been reloading 45 ACP RN 230 gr bullets with VV N320. I have acquired 1000 Rainier 200 gr HP bullets to use when the present supply of RN bullets is gone. I will be reloading with the same powder. I have gone to the VV website for reloading data and they do not list 200 gr HP bullets, only 200 gr FMJ-CT bullets. Those are the Hornady Combat Target or something like that I would guess. I would like to know if their listed data would be OK to use with the 200 gr rainier HP bullets. Please excuse the simple nature of the question since it is from a new reloader.
  11. I would recommend talking to Rob Schauland at Alchemy Custom Weaponry. He has done some work for me on my SA 1911 and I am not only pleased with the work he did but also with the customer service. If you call him, he will spend time on the phone to discuss what you have, what you want, and give you options to achieve your goals. He also does not oversell parts or work. Highly recommended.
  12. I plan on reloading 45ACP Berry's 230 gr RN bullets. I have both Bullseye and Titegroup powder available. I know that both of these powders are widely used for 45s and each has it's own proponents. I am a new Reloader, so that is the reason for the questions. Is one of these powders easier to handle and measure due to shape of the powder? Spherical vs wafer or flake easier to use? I would appreciate the opinions of experienced reloaders. Looking for a clean, soft load for bullseye shooting.
  13. Either Timberland or Wolverines or Blundstones. I have a pair of 1000 mile Wolverine boots that are comfortable and can be casual or dressed up. They are probably not what one would use as a work boot. The Blundstones however are great for a work boot as well as with jeans or everyday, kick-ass boots..soles last forever.
  14. Not familiar with the Powder Factor Show. What is it and where can it be seen?
  15. For those who reload and wear gloves to prevent or decrease lead exposure, does anyone know if Nitrile is more protective than Latex gloves or vice versa? Maybe it doesn't matter and both are equally protective. Maybe good handwashing after reloading is just as good as gloves. What do you know about this? __________________
