The bolt needs to be tight.

If you remove the primer system and there is still resistance only with the bolt tightened I reckon you have bent alignment pins too.

You havent added any of those aftermarket solutions to your shellplate have you? I think there can be issues with the bolt heads hitting the toolhead if you put a bearing kit in.

Has he shot major out of that unsupported barrel yet?

What brass are you using? Does it happen in other headstamps? The shape of the case (wall thickness as you go down) and length of the bullets might be pushing the brass out. I have this issue with 147's and certain 9mm cases. Running lighter/shorter bullets stops it.

Anyone seen what the new DPP circuit board looks like?

Did you put the belt on according to instructions? I cant remember them but they were specific. Does it cycle with no brass?

Avoid the brass I mentioned or try to get some and test it out. Unsure if v320 or AA2 is any slower or faster than what I was using even though it is listed as an equivalent. I dont know if the charge weight and projectile weight make a difference or not. I was shooting 123 grain bullets for 132pf.

They aren't out of battery discharges. The cases fail because the chamber is not supported well. I cringe whenever one of those facebook boomers who shoots 3 boxes of ammo a year say the p320's fire out of battery. It's not possible with the new disconnector design. Don't combine the fastest powder AND CBC, PPU or Tulammo brass and it will be fine. Ive experienced the bulges and a blowout or 2 but its not a big deal to load around. The most popular 9mm powder where I live is too fast for the x5 when using the cases I mention above. It is AP50 and APS450, highlighted in the powder equivalent attachment below. Use a slower powder or sort your brass to exclude those cases and it is fine. ps I use CBC and PPU brass in 9 major in an STI with no problems.

It looks like your primer slide stop has been shimmed. try to look down the primer tube with it empty and see if the primer slide primer hole lines up with the tube with the slide all the way back.

They cant go back too far if the primer slide stop is installed... Take a photo.

I had 2 shadow 2's. My ammo was good in one and marginal in the other because the throat was shorter. PITA because I had loaded 8000 rounds before buying the short throat gun.

The staccatto xl is 5.4 so the barrel should be ok to get.

I found them to be hard. Had to run a 19lb mainspring to reliably set them off. I couldnt get them to work at all in my infinity standard gun. It was a bit fussy though.

SAO shadows are dumb. I've been there and there were no gains apart from looking nice. Just put the safety on with your DA/SA shadow. Convert one to SAO if you wish but don't hobble yourself by buying something that is SAO.

Sebo has made a couple of open guns based on the S2 frame. The frame is smaller though and uses smaller mags.

Do the kimbers have wilson/nowlin barrel ramps? Down here people buy 9mm and 38 super STI's, have the barrels reamed out and the breachface modified to 40 cal size so we can shoot 357 sig. Easy enough to do but would probably cost more with a 40 barrel than buying something in 40 to begin with.

What diameter?

The early cheely magwells for IDPA are pretty small. Much smaller front to back than the STI magwells, I doubt the width is much wider than the tactical magwell, if at all. A cheely or infinity magwell would fit better too. They don't have as much space at the front. I tried epoxying the front of an STI magwell to take up the space between it and my cheely grip before they had a magwell that fit the standard division box and it didn't work well. The bit leading to the grip had to be super thin so wasn't very durable. The top pic suits an STI magwell. The left is the front. The bottom pic is a cheely magwell, the right is the front. It's more square. It's a copy of the SVI steel grip shape.

I seemed to get 1/1000 fail to ignite with CCI. Havent used them in ages. Been using winchester for the last few years with no problem. Not as smooth in the vibra prime but fine in my 1050.

Ive had the same issue before. Those tests your did were fine but nothing fixed it apart from fixing the hammer and sear engagement. Also check your grip screws if its a 2011. That could be a chance. If they are loose it can play up.

I'm gonna go with hammer and sear engagement.
