  1. Got to compete in a night shoot a few weeks back which was good fun. This months small club comp. I really need to step up the pace.
  2. Not sure but I shot 2000 in my 1911 with no issues.
  3. Grind the follower so they don't lock back.
  4. Remove the rod. Empty the powder slide by hand into a container of your choice then lower the tool head when the slide is in the empty position?
  5. have you tried adjustING the left spring to reduce the weight on the stock spring? I replaced my sear, disco, hammer and safety with svi parts. 500 rounds in and no issues yet. The only filing was on the safety. 2.5Lb trigger pull using the stock sear spring.
  6. I’ve been doing some searching about bobbing my hammer and doing an action job on my 627-4 PC over the last couple of days. I took my gun apart to have a look and the hammer looks different to all the examples I have seen. Most hammers look like this one where there is a significant cut out on the side facing us. My hammer is completely flat on this side with only a small dog bone shaped cut out on the other side for the trigger lock. Why is it different? Should I/Can I still hack away at it?
  7. I replaced my trojans insides and safety with SVI bits. Feelsgoodman
  8. I've had both with a bullet feeder. 1050 wins hands down. No matter how many rounds you make you will spend half the time doing it on a 1050.
  9. Stock 2 extreme is the new production hotness.
  10. Bargain but it is missing lots of stuff. Go through the manual and look at the pictures.
  11. I've used the cmc ones for 2 years with no problems. I've got tripps too which have been fine but I can't get extended mag bases for them so don't use then much. The cmc ones have short bodies do are a bit harder to seat than the tripps.
  12. Yeah I noticed the same. Lever pull was much easier on the 650. Lubing the cases helps but I never needed it on the 650.
  13. Nope. I bought a 2nd hand one and the priming issues have been a headache. When it works it isn't much faster.
  14. Thanks everyone. I've fitted a new primer slide, shellplate and primer punch. Just primed 200 cases and had 1 go sideways. The sideways primer was on a shitty case so I'm hoping it was just an anomoly. Ill do more testing on the weekend but I am confident.
  15. Apples with apples is much closer. 30 minutes would include swapping the primer, sWaging and case feeder stuff over. I can swap tool heads in a few minutes Going from 38 super to 9mm
  16. Im at nearly 2 years on the same batch of brass. Never deprimed first And no problems.
  17. A custom shop down here has been advertising custom revolvers with 4.25lb trigger pulls for competition guns. Are these likely to be unreliable?
  18. Also what kind of sorcery it takes to get these in Australia? Speedshooters don't stock them and I can't get them locally.
  19. Here is a new 627-4 I picked up a few weeks ago.
  20. Fingers crossed it fixes it. Its in the mail with abunch of other stuff.
  21. It's not hard. I've also doesn't a small fortune trying to fix my primer system on my used 1050. But New or try it out first.
  22. The guys at the top didn't start shooting yesterday. They probably accumulated huge amounts of 38 super before shooting 9mm major became a thing. Which is probably the same reason most of the top guys run regular upright c more mounts and not sideways mounts that get the dot lower to the bore. You don't get good switching your stuff around. I shoot super because 9mm major isn't common where I am from and most people pick up each others brass. Also loading miscellaneous mixed 9mm brass sucks compared to loading nice 38 super with the same headstamp.
