  1. I removed my swaging rod and expanding die. It was causing a lot of my thumping.
  2. No bull barrel for the Trojan anymore? I like the website, great improvement.
  3. I put my tumbled brass in methylated spirits before I lay it out to dry. It displaces most of the water and stops water marks. I reuse the metho until it is too dirty. It lasts a while. I tumble for an hour and can't tell my new loaded brass from my old. I have tried to separate it for my new revolver but gave up.
  4. Thanks guys. Those revolver supply ones are so cheap. I might get a bunch of those for the games where I don't need a speed reload and try out the other options for icore if needed.
  5. This is happening to me too and doing my head in. I've tried 4-5 different pins with the same result. Could the tip be a problem on all of them? I just bought a new 1050 so this was causing me lots of problems further down the line. I put a lee decapper in the 2nd stage after the dillon sizing die to make sure the primer is out.
  6. Thanks mate, I've heard of people doing that. I only shoot 38 super in my auto's so will just leave it at that. Do you shoot oversize projectiles? I've read that .358 should be best, is this your experience too? Hopefully I get my permit soon so I can pick it up.
  7. Yeah if you add up your hits it doesn't add up to that much. 1 static reload is much more costly Which still happens a bit in ipsc. If they adopted the 8 rounds per view as per uspsa I'd probably switch.
  8. 3 on each target was on purpose beerbaron. Part of the cof. I still think minor is better but only because i haven't been beaten by anyone shooting major yet. Plus i miss steel too much to only run 8 in the mag.
  9. I havent used this gun for a few months. When I dug it out I shot a stage and the hammer dropped to half cock when I changed mags. I put more tension on the left side of the sear spring but it did it again tonight. I had a good look and it looks like the rounds in the mag are hitting the front corner of the disconnector. It seems people file this area to stop the mag hitting when fitting but I'm curious as to why this has started happening now as it hasn't been a problem for approximately 20k rounds. Any ideas? Thanks, Dan
  10. Yep, they are steel. 2 sticks are sandwiched to the frame by 2 pieces of flat bar and bolts with wing nuts at the top on most of them.
  11. Got the hits added in. Took quite a while. Not sure if I'd bother again.
  12. I would add scores but it is too much effort. I mentioned the mikes I had in one I did yesterday though. I'd rather watch blazing fast videos over my own though.
  13. Would there be any problem shooting 170 power factor ammo out of this gun? I've got new brass but I've loaded it For my open gun already. :/
  14. Thanks for the help. I'll get some of each clips. These guns pop up for sale every now and then down here, both new and used. I had a line on a used one but it was missing the regular end cap so bought new from the same shop. I know of 1 other new one but im sure the importer would still have new stock. Living in Australia is good on these occassions but getting new models takes much longer too. I don't think there are any 929s in the country yet and we probably wont see the new sti dvc until the end of the year.
  15. I just put down a deposit on my first revolver. A new 627-4 in 38 Super. I already shoot 38 super and have 2000 unfired starline cases to use. Can anyone recommend the best moon clips to use for these? I've done a bit of searching but a lot of the info for this gun is pretty old and there is mixed opinions on everything. I see TK custom list 2 types, 1 stainless and and 1 blued. Is there a significant disadvantage to the blued ones? They are nearly half the price. http://www.tkcustom.com/cart/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=27&cat=.38+Super I plan on using my DAA racemaster holster with a new insert but I have no idea where to begin with a moon clip holder. Any tips on what works? Thanks, Dan
  16. Nice, which slide racker is that one?
  17. I wish I started in open. Would have saved heaps on guns.
  18. A scope mount is fine. I buy gun stuff from the US quite often. Im in Australia. A lot of sellers put a blanket ban on selling gun parts overseas but shooters connection has sent me scope mounts before. They won't do things like trigger parts, hammers, magazines etc.
  19. Have we got a fix for the rubbish blue tooth interaction on android phones and tablets yet?
