Mine is a standard trubor slide too. Do you have barrel ports? I run a 12lb spring for 38s major. I think that is what they come with standard. I notice a lot of guys here run really light Springs. 9 felt hard on the gun, I could really feel the slide beating the frame. It was a bit hard on my wrists too.

I run a 9lb spring when I shoot minor with my trubor. It works fine.

It's normally out by 3 or 4 seconds with way more shots recorded. I'll need to play with it a bit more.

A 650 isn't rocket science. Push the handle all the way back and all the way down and you won't stuff anything up. Squibs and such only happen when you don't cycle it fully.

Stoeger hasn't got 9mm. I'm looking at $55 postage for a 38 super version so I'm waiting until both are in Stock.

I have heard of using dillon case lube on the comp to help but havent tried it yet. I load 125 grain projectiles running 170 power factor for IPSC major power factor. We don't have the same amount of options when it comes to powder in Australia so you might be able to use something better, I use AP100 which is the most available. That is why most of us shoot coated lead too. It is produced locally but everything else needs to cross the ocean which drives the price up too much.

I shoot coated lead. The barrel is fine but the comp builds up with lead over time and is a pain to clean. Haven't found an easy way to clean it yet.

Yeah shotmaxx. Timers like the ced 7000 pro can record your strings but you need to use the shotmaxx app to do it with the shotmaxx and Bluetooth. I can't get it to work on my android phone or tablet which sucks a bit. I can't get spy mode to work properly either, it is always out by seconds. The accelerometer timing mode works well when practising and the form factor is pretty good.

Just don't plan on using Bluetooth with an android.

Yep, we are limited to 10 round mags in Australia.

Extractor fixed and had a win in a larger club match on the weekend.

I agree. The red module cover has been replaced with a black one at least. The top of the slide has a big rub mark on it below the c more lens and the dude screwed the bolts in too far when he swapped the scope mounts over so it gouged out a strip on the slide. All stuff very low on my priority list to fix. The price was right so I try not to complain much.

Here is my trubor that I picked up cheap to start shooting open with. The finish is rough and it had extractor problems but it seems good now that it has an aftec. Definitely nothing to look at but does the job.

It's our only option for major in standard division in Australia as we aren't allowed to shoot anything over .38. Most guys shoot converted STI's like the edge. From 9mm or 38 super it is fairly cheap to do.

The brass has arrived. Pretty sure it is just starline brass. The headstamp is identical to my other starline brass. It arrived all loose in a box. Not sure if this was for ease of packaging from the shop I bought it from or if they never came with packaging from the manufacturer.

What makes it better than a Glock or m&p? Safeties aside such all i could find on the sig website.

Last night as I was riding my kangaroo home from work I was trying to think of something real Australian to post but all I could come up with was putting another shrimp on the barby.

I don't know about being an ocker Aussie but I ordered 1000 cases of it today. Hope they last ok. Might run a few through my trubor a couple of times and if they don't work out I'll relegate them to minor PF duty in my trojan.

My 9mm edge is fine too. What comps do you want to shoot with the gun? You're going to be at a disadvantage shooting 9mm in standard division but a 9mm single stack for classic division will be ok because shooting major is still uncommon in Australia. Over .38's to 45's are only allowed in Victoria and .357 sig's have to be custom made.

I Google searched and found this thread. Instead of starting a new thread I bumped this one. Im wondering if anyone has used praetorian tactical brass in 38 super. A shop sells it locally much cheaper than other stuff but I can't find any information on it. I want to shoot major out of it.

sell the 550 and SBD and get another 650. Load the 9's and 40 on the same machine, 45 on the other.

A guy at my club accidently shoots 380 out of his 9mm shadow now and then. He doesn't spot it in his press. It shoots OK and ejects but the case splits.

The 2nd aftec I ordered is the same. No tension. The extractor tunnel must be out of spec or something.

Shot a small 65 round match with no issues tonight. Guns that work make me happy.
