  1. Just "slingshot" the slide when clambering a round. The cycling of the gun when fired is different than racking the slide and chsmbering a round. Your problem is fairly common I think. Just my .02¢
  2. This is bad news for me. I just bought a dpp b/c of all the problems the rts2 had. Hope I made a good decision. When i was Messing with the dpp I noticed those flimsy pieces. Isn't the battery compartment top magnetic? I hope that will keep it from misaligning the battery.
  3. The spring looks wrong but hard to tell in pic. My extractors don't move on any of my cz pistols. It should be pretty stiff.
  4. I'd say it's extractor related. Can you take the extractor out and see if it's hook is coated. If so I'd probably try to remove the coating where it hooks the rim of the brass or just buy a back up extractor for like 40 $ I think. My TS came with a spare one I think. If you get anew extractor and it doesn't fix the problem you at least have a spare.
  5. I use and 11lb recoil spring and 8.5 lb hammer spring and my shadow ejects 6ft with my loads. Never shot factory through it. I'd assume it would be a little further with factory. I'm not concerned where the brass lands as long as the gun is tracking up and down and my sights get back on target quickly.
  6. I've got a loadmaster and it's been awesome best 200$ I've spent in a long time. Only real issues I've had have been related to crappy brass. With that being said I've also got a 650 with case feederand bullet feeder. The 650 is definitely built better but for 200$ my loadmaster is hard to beat. I still use it weekly and have no plans of getting rid of it.
  7. I've had a new to me open gun for a few months now and haven't really shot it except to chrono. I've been focused on some production goals. My gun has a cmore red dot and a somewhat big mount imo. I'm thinking about shooting it sooner than I'd planned. I want to swap to an Everglades ammo mount and a rts2 soon but funds are preventing that at the moment. If I start shooting it now will it be a difficult adjustment when I change the mount and optic. If it's gonna be a difficult transition I'd rather wait but if you guys who've made the change say it's not a big deal I'll probably go ahead and shoot it. One more question, I'm thinking about saving for a few months and having a gun built the way I want it. If I do end up having one built in the near future should I just leave this gun the way it is and put the money towards a new gun ? My thinking is the optic and mount should be identical on both. Thanks !!
  8. Halo has a set screw under the blade portion of the site I believe. I'm pretty sure mine does. Take the screw out if the top and flip it over and you should see the screw.
  9. When do y'all think they will be production legal and will y'all still shoot them in local matches anyway ?
  10. I can load extreme 147 grain rn to 1.135 in my shadows with no issues. Neither one has been reamed.
  11. I love my loadmaster. I bought it 4 years ago and it's been flawless. It's been so good I've got conversions for 3 different calibers. I've got a 650 too and it's definitely a great press, besides priming in the up stroke, but with the loadmaster I can load 500 ish and hour too and still use it weekly.
  12. What caliber and how long you loading the ammo.
  13. I've got a Cameron. No barrel ports. Bought it local from a friend.
  14. I've got a 38 super comp and need to help with data for major. I've got a load for 3n38 but want to see if a less expensive powder will work. I'll be loading a 124 grain precision delta jhp with small pistol primers and starline brass. I'm open to any suggestions. Just need a starting point and I'll work it up. Really want to try hs-6 and maybe silhouette it those will work. Thanks in advance.
  15. What powders are y'all using in 38 sc. I know about the Vv powders.
  16. So grams pads are plastic basically ?
  17. I like the look of tti pads but I'm with you. Definitely don't like the way they come off.
  18. I have the basic stuff. Belt, holster, mag pouches. I have 2 mbx 140 mags and 3 sv 140 tubes and a 170 sv tube. What base pads and spring/followers do y'all like. I like the way grams pads come off but am open to hear opinions on what the best. What size pads do I need on the 140s and 170s ? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.
  19. New springs are fairly inexpensive. I change mine every year but I shoot a good bit and use all my mags in dry fire loaded with dummy rounds. I change 1-2 springs in my production gun at the same time. It's cheap insurance and I like to control everything I can. With new springs I know I shouldn't have any trouble with springs.
  20. 1 second at 5 yards is average for me. Gotten down to low .7s in practice but its not consistent enough to depend on it. Much lower than 1 is tough. I have to prep the trigger to make it happen. I'm an A class production guy and shoot a shadow.
  21. I bet I know whose dog this is dhollis. Are you thinking what I'm thinking.

Are you using a plastic guide rod or metal? I use a metal guide rod with a 10 lb recoil spring and 132 pf. My guide rod is a little chewed up but I think it's normal wear on the metal. It also had the same wear with an 11lb spring.
  23. Is the Cajun 10x bushing production legal. I would get one if they are legal now.
