1.135 is what I loaded with coated fp projectiles that I get locally. Can't load much longer b/c mags won't allow it.

I've been testing out wst and like it so far. Seems a good bit softer than 320. Out of the powders you listed tight group is the one I'd pick. I shoot TG in 9 mil but think I'll try wst in 9 too.

Infinity is quality stuff. I thought about using their parts in my RO but decided to go with egw parts instead and have been very pleased. I also went with and sti trigger. It was way cheaper and from what I've read and heard is as good. It's also lighter in weight than the sv so in theory equals less mass and force to push the trigger back. You can't go wrong with infinity though.

Would auto comp be a bad choice.

Why don't people use the 115s in 9major. Seems like you wouldn't compress the charge as much.

I'm thinking about going to the dark side and need help on deciding which powders to try for 38 super auto major. I really want to stay away from VV powders because they cost to much. What powders are y'all using with a 124 bbi bullet or a PD 124.

Will their ever be one ? He's got such a big following here in the states I figured he would have his name on a gun.

Buy a stock shadow for like 900. I know you said 800$ but for 100 more you get a lot better gun for production and you can upgrade it later when you get the money.

I've been loading n320 and its been good so far but a little expensive. It seems snappy but I guess 40 is a snappy round. I really don't think it's going to get any softer and still make major. I have some clays but I'll save it for 45. I do have a few lbs of wst I might try at some point but I've read where wst is reverse temp sensitive so I might save it for cooler weather. Thanks for the advise. It probably saved me from having trouble later.

Is an oal of 1.145 to short to use clays. Does clays feel softer than n320 in yalls opinion ? I want to try clays but from what I've read here im not sure I should b/c my mags limit my oal out of my TS. I do want to load major..

Trade it to me for a CZ TS and mags when you decide you don't like it.

Blue loctite is your friend. I would use it in this situation.

Is the hammer pin retainer pin in place ? If not the hammer pin can work itself out a little and cause a similar issue. It's happened to me before.

Are you sure your powder drop is close and your using the same motion on every pull.

It's so high because it's what the cool kids use and it says super comp.

Frame reduction are pretty easy and not too much work and the finished product is great.

Mp40guy, lee sales a bulge buster die and it might help you. What projectiles are you loading. I load coated 180s and sometimes have this issue maybe 10 out of 1000 rds. When I load jacketed bullets almost always they all case gage. Cast lead bullets are sized different from jacketed bullets. My rounds usually have a little hump where the bullet is seated but it never really affects if mine pass the gage. If your crimp is off it could play a role as well.

I had this issue too with SS cleaned brass. Seemed like the pins sharpened the edge of the case mouth. I went back to walnut and corn and the problem went away. I tried opening the case mouth a little more b4 going back to dry tumbling and it helped but was the shaved coating was still there.

I load out to 1.135 in my TS 40. I load a coated 180 grain fp that I can buy locally with 4.7 grains of n320 and I'm at 171 ish on pf. I have tried loading to 1.145 too and had zero problems feeding but my pf dipped a little. Matt Mink recommended I load to 1.125 but that just seems short imo although I think most factory 40 is around 1.125. 1.145 is about as long as my mags will allow reliably.
