  1. The 1st recommendation from PSA that DT posted would be a good start. Just buy some folding irons to place on top of the rails and call it good. Then if you get the itch, pick up a red dot later on.
  2. I've got so much Prima V/SV & Claydot that I won't need another pistol powder for 5+ years. But if I were in the market for powder, the bulk containers are an attractive price.
  3. How is any of this reloading related?
  4. Edit: disregard original post. I really liked the looks of the McDonald Precision Components that was recommended.
  5. Have you tried playing with the mainspring? Changing the mainspring # will also effect your trigger pull.
  6. If your slide locks back and you drop the mag only to find there was a round left in the mag, you're ok. It's considered a malfunction and no PE will be assigned.
  7. May pertain to those states with capacity restrictions?
  8. If you're running a Dillon press, it can vary as much as .1gr per throw. Also, mixed brass will have an effect on consistency.
  9. Anyone run their reman ammo? Trying to get an idea on what PF it is.
  10. Congrats on the CK. Look forward to seeing it in person sometime.
  11. ^^ What he said. Ive seen the 9mm Tavor in action. I realize that the 9mm blowback ARs have a bit more dot bounce and felt recoil than our tricked out ARs. But there seems to be a lot more barrel movement between shots with the Tavor. Too much weight towards the back end and nothing to help keep that muzzle down. Compounded by the fact that you aren't getting the benefit of a full reach for muzzle control and this setup looks squirrelly.
  12. Hey! Moderator! This isn't the classifieds! Take your illegal dealings elsewhere!
  13. My M-die is doing the same. I'll have to take a look at mine and see if that's cause.
  14. Correct, the Nelson kit works for either the 1911 or 2011. Only difference in the kits are the mags they supply. And when on sale, they are the best value for 2011 .22 mags. Nelson Custom Guns also has the best CS. Very friendly and knowledgable staff when I've called them for anything.
  15. Hey! Who said it was ok for you to post outside the Tanfo sub forum? Back with you!
  16. There are some dangers with the reholstering that you have to beware of. It does generally require 2 hands to safely reholster as appose to the single hand ease of a OWB. As long as you're careful not to sweep your weak hand while reholstering, I don't see an issue with it.
  17. Look at Nelson Custom Guns for your .22 upper kit. One of the best kits available and mags are reasonably priced. As are spare parts and different sight options.
  18. That video doesn't prove anything. You could video several different shooters using the same PCC and see several different results. Can we actually know if adding a comp actually works as advertised because of the science that went into it or because you added a few ounces of weight on the end of a barrel? Would a Noveske flaming pig have the same results as an actual comp when comparing recoil reduction and dot movement?
  19. I would have to pass on the opportunity to spend $150 for a barrel weight. PCCs don't produce enough gas to make use of a comp.
  20. You may be absolutely right. There may have been an issue that someone found and made it right before it left the factory. Hence the mismatched #s. Its human nature to assume the worst. But unless there's an actual mechanical issue, I don't see losing sleep over it.
  21. Are you having issues with your DVC? I'm curious as to what you're disappointed about. None of my STIs have these numbers.
  22. I suppose being an enthusiast of 2011s has made me numb to the cost of mags. Wasn't a factor for me. YMMV.
  23. Our club has several PCCs in service. Haven't seen the Scorpion or the MPX (gen2) have any issues. I haven't run very many rounds through my MPX (gen1) but it's been a dream to shoot and no issues. I simply enjoy holding and shooting the MPX more. I like the extra heft that the metal build provides. Just feels good in the hands. The downside to the SIG though is the lack of support from SIG. Too many promises and not near enough follow through. Thankfully I have zero need to change calibers. But I just might succumb to the Lancer CF handguard. I just love the look of CF.
  24. Comparing the Scorpion to the MPX is like comparing a Glock to a 1911. Life's too short to own ugly guns. As for cost difference. You'll spend more in ammo in a few years than you will on the gun.
