    BUG GUN

I haven't measured it, but yes, it should fit. When the final draft came out, they fixed the dimensions to allow for the Shield.
  2. I have a low light match next Wednesday. Will be testing which powder will be best for low flash for my 10mm.
  3. So the trigger on today's Wilson is definitely not the same trigger I felt a year ago at their booth. The one I handled then had two very distinct stages in the pull and it was possible to induce trigger freeze if you didn't allow the trigger to reset properly. The one I felt yesterday felt like a single stage. Day and night difference. Reset was very short and had a very crisp feel. If this is what Wilson is now putting out, other than it being curved (personal preference), I have no qualms about their trigger.
  4. Clean and lube? Damn this thing is high maintenance!
  5. Thanks for the humorous read OP. But I think this thread belongs in the What I Like sub forum. Because I like when dumbasses get their just dessert.
  6. Anything Primary Arms is generally my recommendation for quality optics on a budget.
  7. Use UPS's ship from home option and have them pick it up from your home if possible.
  8. You're just beating yourself up. You haven't shot competitively in some time. You're probably still recovering from injury. Using a single stack instead of a double stack. And when's the last time you dry fired? Once you get your mojo back you'll enjoy yourself more. And once you get your limited blaster, you'll regain even more of your skills. Just remember us little guys when you rise back to the top. =)
  9. Trace, I've seen you shoot and you can make EX but you need to be sure to take the time to make your shots count. You're instinct may still be to blaze away when you hear that buzzer and your splits are quick, but I've seen your score suffer from the points down that come with it. There will be fault lines throughout the classifier. So knowing where to keep your feet will be easy. And during stage 3, remember to not crowd the barricades. The last classifier I shot I focused just on being the lowest points down. I didn't have anywhere near the raw times my peers did but I did have better overall times. When it was all said and done, I was 2nd place with just 6 points down. Make your shots count and you'll do great! BTW - I expect an update as soon as you get your score tallied.
  10. You're not old and cranky enough to be a tiger team member. Consider it a blessing in disguise that you aren't.
  11. Ok, so I have to retract my previous statement of not having to rush out and buy a conefit GR if shooting minor. My buddy's Lim Pro is already showing signs of peening after just 500 rounds. So yeah, it is kinda important.
  12. That's a PE at the very least. You've crossed an opening with unengaged targets. Generally there is also a stage description to accompany the stage. And unless the stage has multiple options as far as CoF, there will generally be a linear CoF that all shooters will abide by. Something like starting in the open from SP1, engage targets T1-T3 on the move while advancing to SP2. At SP2, engage T3-T6. Advance to SP3 and engage T7-T9. If you were to skip the second array, in this case T3-T6, you would receive a PE or even an FP.
  13. There's usually a number of competitors that turn up a day prior to the day they shoot and observe the stages.
  14. And that's what 99.99% of my reloads look like. I do what's necessary to avoid a RWR and that generally means round dumping. And unless I run dry in the open, I'm almost always timing my reloads to happen after engaging an array and moving to the next shooting position.
  15. That's probably the result of your clubs stage designs. My experience is that 99.99% of the reloads at our club are coming from slide lock and the majority of us are round dumping. If it requires 3 shots or less to get to slide lock, I'm dumping. Or I'll run dry in the open, allowing me to stop, reload, then continue with the CoF. For me, my RWR aren't quick/consistent enough for me to deal with the hassle. And with how our match MDs are designing our stages, rarely are we having to do flat footed reloads.
  16. It should be pointed out that he's also running a .40. If you're going to be running 9mm, I don't see an immediate need for a conefit guiderod. Just not enough punch to justify the up front cost. Besides, I'm waiting for PDs lightweight.....
  17. You don't need to have SVI build you a gun just to get a signature grip. Just order the grip itself.
  18. Wouldn't just buying an SVI Signature/ PT Evo grip be a better solution? They replicate the shape of a Tanfo, right?
  19. W/O the FCD, I found about 10% of my 147gr bayou's didn't pass case gauge either. If the FCD is swaging my bullets, it isn't enough for me to notice when I shoot.
  20. You'll probably end up with an 8# or 9# tops.
  21. +1 Plated is a compromise of both jacketed and coated and has no advantages over either. I either purchase Bayou for coated or PD and Zero for JHP.
  22. So you had a sour experience with the club you were affiliated with. While I understand that each club is a representative of the organization as a whole, I would chalk this one up as having a crumby club. Sorry things turned out the way they did. But that can happen with any sport. If you browse the USPSA sub forum, there are numerous threads that talk about MDs that struggle through the very same thing. So while your situation is unfortunate, it isn't unique to just IDPA.
  23. How are you going to say that they aren't friendly because they are enforcing an organization rule? Just because another organization is happy to take your money without having you join doesn't automatically qualify them as friendly. Now if you had a bad experience with a local club, then I could see you not wanting to participate. But shunning a club/organization just because you didn't want to follow protocol is just petty on your part. I know people that shoot both sports and in my area, both organizations have very friendly/helpful members. YMMV.
  24. I haven't had the chance to shoot under low light conditions yet. I'll be looking to do that by the end of next month.
