  1. I've worked up several low light SD rounds for 9mm, .45 and 10mm. Each had a favorite as far as muzzle flash was concerned. For 9mm it turned out to be Silhouette. For .45 it was BE-86. N350 was also tested and performed well but the other 2 powders met more of the criterias that I was looking for.
  2. They should not have as it's our policy that the 1st match is on us. I'll even go 1 step further and have them classify you as Master.
  3. You make it look so effortless. I guess there IS something to that whole dry-fire practice stuff. Maybe one day I'll actually try it.
  4. EAA seems to want a pretty penny for the Lim Pro top end. Somewhere in the market of $600 if I'm not mistaken? There may be an alternative in using a different slide that would be cheaper. +1 And with what PD is coming out with as far as lighter grip panels and reduced weight guide rods, it will be even easier to make a CO Lim Pro.
  5. Sell it and put the funds towards a new top end for your Lim Pro CO conversion.
  6. Our club has been using the fault lines for a few months now. We've tried a few methods of what to use for fault lines and I think the club is going to settle on the dimensions of the sticks we use for our target stands. The 1 sec rule doesn't really bother me. It was the CCP/BUG dimensions and the last minute head box change that pissed me off.
  7. Not to derail this thread. But Patriot Defense (BE Vendor) is offering barrel reaming as a service for 9mm pistols as well as 9mm rifle barrels. I'd give them a call and see if they can help you. If I recall, it was a $39 service and that included return shipping.
  8. Many of the plastic fantastics would still be the primary choice of many shooters. What I don't think would be as popular are the guns that require trigger work to be competitive, such as the Tanfo Lim Pro. Not that they are extremely popular to begin with. But they would definitely be less demand for them.
  9. It would actually change a lot of the guns people preferred. I know I wouldn't have been too excited to pick up a Lim Pro with a 10# DA and a 4# SA if I had to shoot it as is. The M&P 2.0 would actually look more appealing with its improved STOCK trigger. Guns like the Walther Q5 would skyrocket in popularity. Then when you're ready to make the change to ESP, drop the go fast parts in there and add a magwell. Boom done.
  10. How about we remove any and all tampering with SSP pistols? Not exactly Stock when you start modifying things. You want to enhance your pistol? There's a division made just for that.

    ESP legal?

These 2 guns are ESP legal. The 1911 needs no modification to shoot, the M&P needs a non-ported barrel.

    ESP legal?

As far as the DVC is concerned; You aren't removing or adding anything to the gun. It comes from the factory that way. Just as the S&W Pro series guns have factory slide cuts that are legal. No different than running a Glock 34 in ESP with that huge coffin cut on top. I've already spoken to my AC about this. The guy who I know that ran a DVC 3Gun at nationals had to shave down his beavertail to make the gun fit the box. It comes with a tactical magwell and that already fits the box, check. The slide cuts are factory, so that's a non-issue, check. It's a bushing barrel gun, check. Makes weight, check. All he had to do was totally bubba smith the beavertail. And it truly looked awful. Like I wanted to take his gun and whip him with it, ugly.
  13. All of the posts on this forum have been incredibly helpful. I polished up the basics and installed all the go-fast parts. I may be mistaken but with a 13# hammer spring I'm crushing S&B primers. Also, with Bayou 147gr, I can load out to 1.135 without issue. Still going to send my barrel out to be reamed so that it feeds 1.150 like the rest of my 2011s. Unfortunely to run SSP I'll have to put the stock hammer back in. But good lord this gun is accurate. If I miss a shot it's definitely not the gun's fault.

    NICS Delay

To be honest, I don't even have a legit reason why I haven't taken the time to get mine. This may have been the straw to break the camel's back.

    NICS Delay

I feel ya! Picked up a Tanfo last week. Got off work early today to pick up an STI. DELAYED FML
  16. And a 140mm mag limit now. So now it's more like Production on 'roids.
  17. Correct. I've loaded the Bayou 150gr SWC out to 1.180 to avoid the case bulge. Wasn't worth the additional cost and trouble of loading only to perceive the same recoil and hole punch. Went back to 147gr
  18. I can't argue that Wilson doesn't make some nice guns. But after what he did to many of us that invested in the CCP division and reading this thread: http://forums.brianenos.com/index.php?/topic/245599-cz-p01-for-ccp/ I won't give Bill a dime.
  19. Those grip panels on the S3P look to be molded into the grip. So if they aren't effective, there's going to be a lot of need for skate tape. The whole point (for me at least) of the Lim Pro for an SSP pistol is that it was all metal. I don't own/like polymer guns. Why shoot a da/sa poly gun when glock/springer/S&W already offer a better trigger with the right parts? To me the S3P is akin to CZ's polymer 1911. IMO it's a step in the wrong direction. No thanks.

    Hard cover?

^^^ +1 Where's the like button for this post?
  21. Can I ask what you did that you broke a grip safety? I've never even heard of that happening. That's like wearing out a hammer spring.
  22. Yup. Joe just HULK SMASHED that dream.
  23. It just dawned on me why we need this new model. So that they can release an Extreme version with the Titan hammer and allow us Lim Pro owners to use the Titan hammer in SSP!
