  1. Not to derail this thread, but it does pertain... Graf's is still running their special with Nobel Sport (prima powders). Order a minimum of 10 units and receive free shipping and hazmat. Can be combined with other primer and powders. Awesome deal.
  2. Scouring the net I found a smith that did mag length reduction on a custom 2011. Anyone familiar with a smith by the name of Tim Calhoun?
  3. If you've ever used the AUS Clays or wanted to, then SV is for you.
  4. Evolution Armory. They have 4 of my STI mags currently being treated.
  5. No, that would not be IDPA legal. Changing calibers from stock configuration would move you into ESP. It would only be legal if you put a 9mm stock III topend ontop of a 9mm Lim Pro. Which for all purposes would be pointless.
  6. Ok, so I have to ask.... Just how many standing reloads do you plan for in USPSA? I ask because as an IDPA guy, those reloads look rock solid. But from what I've read (because I haven't been able to make a USPDSA match yet) most USPSA reloads should ideally be done on the move. And I know from experience that moving reloads look a lot different than stationary ones. But I also don't practice in any sense of the word. So do people also practice reloading on the move? I don't mean for this post to sound critical, but I have been drinking.
  7. Looking to turn my future 9mm Lim Pro into my SSP/Production/CO gun. If I wanted to shoot Limited, I'd have an 2011 built.
  8. You can cut into the grip and leave the MSH part unmolested. So the mag looks countersunk when you're done.
  9. Since 9mm 105mm STI mags don't exist, I'm looking for a reference towards someone who take take my 120mm mags and properly cut them down to 105mm. Looking to make a CCP legal 2011 and to do that, I need shorter mags. Will also be having to trim a grip but the major hurdle is getting the mags shortened.
  10. John Wick 2 releases tomorrow! It may be a challenge to see this tomorrow now that the kids know the new Lego Movie is also coming out.
  11. I was ok with CCP before they shrank the box. But like many others, I voted for CO.
  12. I may have to put my .223 reloading on hold and put the 9mm back into play. I normally run Clay Dot under 147gr bayou. Fluffy powder and a deep bullet would answer that question. I've been shooting my 147gr with Clay Dot with mixed brass including stepped and have not had a hand grenade go off yet. But I'd be interested to see if there are any velocity changes.
  13. Look the same as what Bayou offers. If that's the case, I'd pass. They don't really give you any better of a hole in paper and there are challenges around loading such a long bullet. No difference in recoil that I could distinguish.
  14. The 1sec per point didn't phase me a bit. It's the damn head shots that kill me. And generally speaking, they aren't a problem. But when you have only head shots available or don't want to risk hitting a pesky NT, it takes a toll on my overall time. My problem has never been accuracy but speed. Oddly enough, with the new rules, I find myself trying to go faster. YMMV.
  15. Nice. A lot of good stuff in there. I'm trying to hold off on a suppressor until I see where that bill goes. Until then, I'll keep looking at all these goodies you guys post and try to keep the drool off the keyboard.
  16. At what point are we able to call an intervention for your tax stamp addiction?
  17. Looks like Roze has a few 147gr JHP in stock as of this post. Just placed my order. Best of luck to the next person!
  18. I just tried my Lim Pro mags in my ghost mag pouches. Feels as good as the 2011s do in there. I have 3 just for IDPA and I have 2 others that have the clamp built in for use in other sports. I love them for the feel and price.
  19. Good god. Looks like they cannibalized a lancer lower and found a way to attach it to the Sig.
  20. If you do make the choice to get a 2011 the only absolute upgrade I would suggest is dawson base pads. The stock ones are just too flimsy to trust with your life. They are known to volcano at the absolute worst time. As far as mag durability, it's a none issue. I have roughly 6k-8k through my 2011 with stock 126mm mags and dawson base pads. No mag issues to date and that's with a heavy majority of my shooting matches indoors on concrete floors.
  21. All ammo is case gauged but I have two grades of ammo. Everyday ammo is assorted brass and bayou 147gr coated bullets with S&B primers. Major matches and nationals is WIN brass, CCI primers and Zero 147gr jhp.
  22. Pick up a Tac 5.0 and a few MBX mags and call it good.
  23. Im sorry. I was thinking you were looking to shoot local matches. Which they would allow for you to join in the fun, it just wouldn't be submitted upstream to HQ. And if you were referring to local matches, then I don't see what's stopping you. It's not like people try to break down the finishes by divisions and classifications. It's normally an overall view of how people did.
