  1. If you're going to screw a lefty with a tight shot, balance it out by screwing a righty! LLM.
  2. wow i've had stuff from fed 124 fmj to blazer aluminum 147 fmj run fine thru it with zero issues.
  3. try a freedomsmith racer trigger in that canik before you give it up, makes a big diff. and yeah what boomstick said, ask everyone at your next match if you can fondle if not shoot their guns after the match. best way to see what would work best for you.
  4. in my truck i hang it around the rear seat headrest. in the car, just thrown in the trunk, on top of range bag etc.
  5. also some may want practice/more fun with their 3-gun pistols.
  6. some may not like optics (cost, reliability, ability to pick up the dot quickly). i almost always shoot my iron -sighted guns better than those with dots. also, limited allows a little more flexibility in gear position.

    Loading mags

yeah that's the safe way to not shoot in Open. and as noted above, load up from the 50-round plastic holders so it's easy to see that 10 rounds have been loaded. i'll put an 11-rounder in my back pocket (and not a mag pouch) for the next stage, of course if a loaded start).

    ZEV OZ9

that was pretty nice to get a detailed, personalized letter and nice that they replaced and tuned up a lot of stuff. of course it would be nicer if you didn't need to send it back but i guess stuff happens.
  9. i have a ced7000 and my one local club uses them. zero issues, pretty intuitive. i wouldn't hesitate to buy another one, doesn't seem to be missing anything i need. never used or even seen an amg (well other than mercedes).
  10. maybe switch out the spring/followers between your glock and ets mags and see what happens. that might tell you whether it's the mag bodies/lips or springs/followers that are different. but in the pcc game, if you are going to slidelock, you've already lost.
  11. i start at top, then 2:00 then it starts spinning counter-clockwise and i pretty much keep aiming in the 2-5:00 area and let the plates come to me. if you're an exceptional shooter, i think head, arms and then feet is faster but higher risk/miss factor. it really isn't that hard of a target (i look forward to them now) so don't get psyched out, and don't forget trigger control and that front sight.
  12. wait until you shoot idpa and they put shirts on the targets... congrats on getting into shooting and even better, starting doing matches!! you will def get better over time. ask the match director for a couple of targets (or just take the shot up ones at the end of a match) and dry fire at them at home so you can get used to where the scoring zones are. basically it's sorta supposed to simulate a human body and the vital areas you want to hit. find a good shooter at your next match and ask him or her to mentor you a little. there are a lot of things you can do that will help you shoot better and be faster over a course of fire. be safe and have fun!
  13. the only glock handgun mag extensions i've tried are the arredondo's, but zero issues with them, and relatively easy to disassemble for cleaning.
  14. see what brownells has in the way of pre-milled slides, not sure if midway does them. you could always just buy a glock mos, $600 is relatively cheap and gives you another gun. certainly for the $$, canik is a great value.
  15. my zev oz9 lower with a zia slide on it fits perfectly in my g34 bladetech doh holster. would prob also fit in their g17 holster but i don't have that.
  16. don't know the stats on burris, but the viper has the lowest dot relative to the optic base of a handful or two of optics i got the specs on. for me, low dot = closer to normal iron sight height = easier for me to pick up the dot vs the ones that sit up higher. i unfortunately had to use the warranty card on one of my vipers. sounds like they just replaced it. on the way back to me roughly a week after i put it in the mailbox to them. no excuses, no bs.
  17. don't even list 'competition' as one of their uses on their main page, sad... tell you what though, my bil got a staccato p and an xl and they're both VERY nice guns and the xl has an incredible trigger. i love my old school sti's though (eagle, edge, tac, dvc open, steel master).
  18. hey, if idpa allows them, then uspsa certainly should...
  19. that's my experience. if i 'release' it quickly after each cartridge it works pretty good or at least good enough that i'm not going to mess with it.
  20. i put a couple of neon zip ties on my range bag and gun cases just to differentiate them.
  21. i'd go with the 5 moa. the prob with reflex sights is the dot sits higher than your typical iron sights. thus for me and at least some others, harder to pick up because you're used to the lower iron sights. so bigger will help you acquire it faster. at your next match, ask folks there to let you look thru their optics so you can see for yourself what might work best for you.
  22. brush to clean out your mags if they get dusty, dirty, sandy or muddy. small tool kit with bits for holster and gun screws etc pistol cleaning rod and bore brush gun oil rag or paper towels couple of eyeglass cleaner packets couple packets of ear foamies if you or others forget hearing protection spare fiber optic rod, nail clippers, lighter i've been using midway's large range bag, no issues.
  23. https://practiscore.com/york-2020-invictus-practical-mid-atlantic-multi-gun-championship/register sept 12 or 13
  24. read thru the latest uspsa rules today. did i read/understand correctly that we can pull pcc's from our cars with chamber flags but without cases needed? and vice versa, at end of day? presumably that includes putting them on carts and taking them off of carts.
