  1. shouldn't rules change (or at least be reviewed) to reflect the times. i get that uspsa (and us members) didn't want joebob in his garage making the cheatingnest gun that wouldn't be available to anyone else. but years ago there was no such thing as buying a frame from one company and a slide from another. now there is.
  2. i understand the current, longstanding rules. we have this recent pretty major phenomena and i'm just thinking the rules should be changed to take this phenomena into account. there are multiple companies making 80% and 100% frames. they're basically very similar to longstanding existing models. again, given we're allowing aftermarket slides & barrels & triggers & etc, what's the harm in allowing aftermarket frames, whether 100% or with a little milling and drilling being done? And if you want to keep the minimum manufacturing/sales numbers, just change 'complete guns' to 'frames and/or slides.' what's the harm?
  3. they are also selling 100% frames, serialized. either way, why not let folks use them? in the same spirit as allowing aftermarket slides, why not allow aftermarket frames? it's still basically a friggin' glock so pretty sure the sig and cz guys have nothing to worry about.
  4. the prob is uspsa wants sales of complete guns. i'm just saying that if poly80 or anyone else sells 2000 frames, uspsa should make the frames legal and then folks can get aftermarket slides just like they already allow for glocks etc. or heck, since they allow aftermarket slides irrespective of # sold, just do the same for frames and allow aftermarket irrespective of # sold or produced.
  5. yep with aftermarket slides etc being allowed, aftermarket frames should be allowed also. there are 1000s and 1000s of these out there, let folks shoot them in competition.
  6. i filed for my first sbr yesterday, via efile! got an email a few hours later saying 'pending research.' my understanding is they will email me where to send in my finger print card.

they HAVE to want that gun back to check out.
  8. same here i have a handful and love them. i actually bought one of their last edge's just to get another before they were gone.

i think they sell a bunch of glock pattern barrels, and i haven't heard of any issues, so thinking it's the gun that's the issue.

HOLY CRAP!! didn't ranger's or his buddy's lug(s) break off also? man i've come real close to pulling the trigger on a zev a couple times but i guess glad i haven't.
  11. i haven't had to swap out any sights on my 1911/2011s, but i just use a hammer and wooden dowel for all the glock sights i've swapped out.
  12. in your fingers, bonus of getting a manicure at same time...
  13. i even prefer the 17 in production. out of the holster faster, points faster. for CO it's even more of a slam dunk not needing the longer sight radius.
  14. i guess ignorance is bliss. i just don't feel the need to monkey around with the actual trigger. now on my glocks, that's a different story.
  15. in my various sti's where i didn't have improved or gunsmith-worked-over triggers, i put in the brazos trigger kits and nice improvement. if you're talking about the actual trigger itself, mine are all stock and i haven't felt the need to look for something else.
  16. i haven't shot uml but have gone thru the rules. where is counting rounds or inspecting equipment diff than other shooting games?
  17. considering they're selling thousands of 80% frames, and now finished/serialized frames, and also considering that aftermarket slides are allowed, seems that the frames with aftermarket slides should be allowed in CO.
  18. when i've shot my open gun with the cmore i don't remember any sun problems. at a recent match using my CO gun with vortex viper i had a handful of probs shooting into the low sun.
  19. i have a couple of the arrendondo's for my various glock mags and they have worked great. just loaded up a couple of glock 17 mags today and got 23 9mm in them. i have not tried them on pmags though.
  20. does your bladetech have a drop and offset piece? with that piece removed it sits pretty close to you, so decent concealment. with the dos piece it drops and puts it away from you for easier draws for competitions and the like.
  21. i understand why it may be nice to have. i am trying to find out if there are any downsides of having the LRBHO feature. does it run less reliably, does it need a 'nicer' bolt, etc?
