  1. I mounted my sigle stage press on top of a piece of 2x6 that is mounted to a strong mount and it works great.
  2. Its a ballancing act between finding a flat load, a soft load, and a load that doesnt slap you in the face each shot. For me the 125 is the best compremise, 115's were harsh and had pressure issues.
  3. Jay; Check your PM. Matt
  4. Home sweet home. I have a photo somewhere of the Organs covered with snow and a rainbow in front of them.
  5. I am trying out a Magpul CTR and like it for ease of transporting and short lenght of pull. There are a bunch of disadvantages to most collapsible stocks in that the cheek weld is not great, and they move around. Not to mention how unnerving it is to have one collapse in the middle of a stage. Still prefer my A1's for big match reliability.
  6. The red triangle reticle works great for me. Full bright for quick BAC hosing and dial in less illumination for long precise shots. I adjust my zero for targets past 300 yards & use a normal 250 yard zero. The elevation adjustment is repetable and precise so its easy once you have your loads verified. Helps with the triangle to teach yourself to hold under targets at mid range vs over for long range as the triangle covers alot of target at 300+. There are better/nicer scopes but at way higher price ranges. although several new scopes show promise. The new German #4 is a huge disapointment to me as I was hoping for a better one. The side bars are huge, bigger than a normal G4 and the dot isnt big enough or bright enough for BAC to work on this reticle for me.
  7. The older stuff actually was better.
  8. Yes they are out, picked mine up at East Orange Shooting Sports. A very limited number came in to active competitors on the waiting lists. Sounds like production is ramping up with more to come soon. Here are the photos of the actual production 5" M&P 9 Pro Series. Fit and finish are first rate, the front sight needs serrations and a smaller fiber but is OK? The rear could be serrated but is OK.
  9. Handled mine today. Pick up tomorrow or Monday
  10. While I love the Limcat I used for years, while I was really practicing hard to get my M card I threw the gun on the ground a few to many times. My problem wasnt with moving or seated starts, as the lock is great and you can go from totaly locked to unlocked with a flick of the finger. It was practice with standing speed shoots where I would hit the gun aggressivly and a bit wrong and it would end up jumping onto the ground. Have since switched to a CR Speed, a bit slower at the fastest but the little bit of resistance gives me a more consistant grip improving the stage overall.

    S&W pro

    Thats a good one.
  12. Sight in using 5 inch paper plates at 50 yards, or whatever is the longest shot you will take.
  13. last I heard was the slides all got rejected in QC and they didn't know what the delay would be. Info from a local gunshot owner that had just talked with a S&W rep.
  14. In at # 78. Crashed web sight 3 times trying, then waiting got me nervous. But of course it was all for not as Linda has worked everything out, and has depleted the South East of coffee and chocolate? Now waiting for December.
  15. Tried a whole bunch and the Rudy Project Kerosene with Racing Red lenses have worked best for me with an Open gun, Limited gun and various 3-gun optics. I have a small face and shoot in the bright Florida sun but with a green range, if your in the high desert you may need a slightly darker lens. The Kerosenes fit under ear muffs where the Oakley's I like don't. http://www.rudyprojectusa.com/products/sun...es/kerosene.htm
  16. I had to enter the darn thing 3 times before it took?????? Either Linda is being barraged with 500 e-mails or the server saved the entries and a bunch of people are in three times??
  17. You end all your e-mails with DVC
  18. I am stupid anal about testing multiple bullets and powders trying for the perfect load. The G34 load I fell in love with is 3.0gr. VV N310 @ 1.140" with a Zero 147gr. JHP, WSR primer, mixed cases and U die. Very soft, needs to be lightly sprung, makes 132PF @ 70F, super accurate and clean. The black bullets just weren't very accurate and smoked to much, gave up on them. But this was 2 years ago before bullets got so pricey. In 45 my load is almost identical to yours.
  19. Les; I have had some wear quickly and some not show any wear at all. The initial wear seems to stabilize and slow. It seems the short gas system guns bash the pins harder, also some makers pins have a harder surface finish/heat treat than others. Don't worry about it, Mark has the right idea. It is good the pin is softer than the carrier. Wish I had gone to frostproof, but was worn out from the Sunshine Games. Hope you make it over for the 3-G SSG. DVC, Matt
  20. Take a look at the Wilson adjustable.
  21. The new Brownells Friction Defense is the best stuff I have ever used. http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/Pro...SE~%20GUN%20OIL I mix in a little Slide Glide for thicker use in my limited gun, great stuff.
