  1. Member Nolan has had the same problems with a few of his grips. Looks like that cracks are in the same place. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...ic=9881&hl=grip beat me on the draw short round.
  2. yup... its not just the same without you two here.
  3. At my club, I dont recall even once that competitor paid to reshoot the classifier. Then again, I dont recall anyone asking. The general consensus is, that if you screw up, better luck next time. However another club in my section will let you shoot the classifier till you run out of ammo or dollars, which ever comes first.
  4. two words: Hell no! If it makes you feel anybetter, this weekend, the weather us suposed to be 73 and mostly sunny. I may need the cargo shorts.
  5. Take that cotter pin that holds the chute together and throw it a way. I took a peice of large paper clip, fed it through the holes and bent the ends down. Works like a champ
  6. I droped 2g's on my first STI when they made the california model. It was my only choice for a new wide body.
  7. I shot this one over the weekend first string 4 somthin, second string 5.1, 3rd string opted for the right side and did a 3.9. 77 pts, total time 13.79, 5.85 hit factor for open. I dont think that fairs too well. Anyone notice that T4 is not centered on the cernter line? Half the peopel at the match complained that I didn't set the darn thing up right.
  8. In his defense, I belive he has great products and has done alot for the sport. I have allways had a repsonse in a reasonable amount of time. He is however pretty much a one man show. If you want to show support, I would buy his products through his distributors.
  9. If you want BIG numbers go with the Competition Electronics, Pocket Pro timer. It doesn't have as many features as some of the others but will do everything you need, especially if you allready have a chronograph.
  10. I agree that "stake shoots"(thats what we call 'em out here) are fun. But don't think that work well with open squadding. I like to have the side match availible at the shooters discression during the day and getting people to assemble teams may be difficult. NOt only that it would require the competiotor to bring alot more ammo. With the paper & iron were all divisions lumped together or were they seperate. Anyone hear of poker shoots?
  11. Im looking for side match ideas for the match I'm MDing this fall. Needs to be fun for the shooters and profitable for the chairity. Should be rewarding for the winners and level out the playing field. Does not necessarly need to use competitors equipment.
  12. b/c the slide on your gun is the same as his? and or you two use the same configuration standard frames and slides
  13. What does it say on the slide? looks like phantom. Erik warren would like it because the logo is covered.
  14. Equipment makes a big difference. yesterday all I could muster was a low 3. If I moved the mouse too fast the dot would freeze for an instant. Today on faster processor did a 2.05. w/ optical mouse
  15. thanks shread...that clears everything up.
  16. they still have to copy the dimesions of the origonal to make a replacement. Is it still any different than Grams or Arredondo making followers and base pads to replace the factory STI versions. I'm pretty sure they have, I have seen the gold chains that Dave Skinner wears.
  17. I don't claim to be buisness savy, but I dont see if being any differen't. I can buy replacemnt brake pads made by Raybestos for my Ford. Why can't I buy a replacement grip made by SPS for my STI.
  18. Set a target at 100 yards. Look at the target through the scope and see how much of the target is covered. Measure that diameter in inches and that is the dot size. 8moa dot should cover and 8 inch circle at 100 yards. correct me if im wrong guys.
  19. I don't personally, but I know quite a few peope that prefer the optima/j-point red dot. And then there are those that prefer the aimpoint tube. I can't find my issue of front shight but they did a breakdown of the gear used at the nationals, which included what red dot people were using.
  20. you know, its a replacement part. I dont see how its any different if you bought brake pads at pep boys rather than buying them from the dealer.
  21. Im missing one as we speak.... however, because the month is wacky i have another match tomorrow.
  22. Mom allways said if you cant find it, look under your bed. I had an inner belt that went missing for a month. Immediatly after I bought a replacement I found it stuck to the side of the couch.
  23. cleaning sucks...i just add a few drops of m-pro7 on the bearing plate when I start to notice some drag on the primer slide. it cleans as you load.
  24. Say one starts to supsect bullet hitting the last hole of the comp. Enlarge the last one or all of them?
  25. every one has to get rid of the majority of the attitude demonstrated in this thread. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...ST&f=36&t=11191 "If I'm going to a big match, I'm shooting." "I still RO constantly at local matches but I never intended to be a "big match" Ro as I would rather compete." " I care nothing about being an RO at a major match. I am a competitor, first and foremost." I think that if you are going to compete in major matches, USPSA should required you to RO at least one match per year. That would solve staffing problems...
