  1. shot this in open today 7.20sec 58pts. came out to a 8.05hf Should be an 80% if Jon's numbers are correct. Also shows you that points matter.
  2. Mostly you hear of velocity differences, not density. Now I'm leary of buying large quantity. I could end up with 5 pounds of somthing that I can't reproduce my origonal load with.
  3. Just started using imr 4756 and gone through a few 1/2 pound cans with good suscess untill now. The tail end of one can was left in the powder measure . Opened up another and poured it in. Threw a few charges, right on the money where I left it. 100 rounds later...check the charge weight, one grain low?!?! Check again same.... bust out the old beam scale thinking my digi went belly up. same... one grain low. My load is 8.8g of 4756 under a 124 and which filled a super case to about 1/8'' below the top. I adjusted the powder measure to throw the same chage weight that I had started with and it filled the case right up to the top. So, were my first two cans heavy with mositure or is my new can of powder jacked? The first two cans were pretty consistant but the third was way off. what gives? I've never seen any powder varry this much lot to lot.
  4. Anything that gets stolen sucks. Allthough I have never had a vheicle stolen, If lost my fair share of radios and other belongings. I know the feeling
  5. Zeros or montana golds are going to be the cheapest. order direct from montana gold.
  6. yes and i want it to return to the point of faster. But most importantly I want to reduce the distance it moves from the point of aim. Ok so if a flater shooting gun= less dot movement can I flatten out the gun with different recoil springs.
  7. Although my question is similar,I didn't want to hijack Rufus' thread. I just really wanted to get a feel for what you guys have noticed. If the load remains constant will a lighter or heavier spring going to keep the dot in the lense better. I know too heavy is going to make it dip when the slide closes. Should I be trying to tune with the spings or is tweaking the load going to have more of an effect. Im currently running a 9# spring. the gun has two holes and a 4 port comp. Ive tried several different powder and bullet combinations in the 170-175pf range, with no real adverse effect. The dot allways seems to jump to the top of the c-more lense if not out. My goal is to get the dot to move as little as possible.
  8. Shot this today in open, but from the looks of it I didn't too so well. Did a 12.49 55 pts 4.4035 HF. Drew on the popper and left on the close target. Then arive at T5 over the top, then T6 and back to T4. droped some d's on t4 and t6. I think thats a high 50 or low 60
  9. sounds like the buffer is limiting the slide travel. I'd just toss it.
  10. The governator makes it though his first 100days...ain't that a kick in the nuts" or Can I have a drivers licence if I let you........
  11. DUMBER yea really....who's side is he on anyway
  12. Although I have no 650 experience, the placement of the bin on the bracket makes a difference. With the 550 the bin has to sit off cernterd on the bracket otherwise handle will hit the bracket when you seat the primers. There are only 7 holes on the strong mount, trial and error should get it.
  13. Although I woulden't mind a certficate from there(my wife might), I dont think that uspsa wants to be associated with that line of buisness. What would happen if one of our junior shooters won one of those certificates.
  14. yeah, I know. It takes twice as long to pull the compnents as it does put them all together.
  15. I've done that one! I didn't quite get to the powder die though. The super high resizing effort and the buldged cases were enough to make me take a second look. Maybe you're too distracted to be reloading if... You get that voice in the back of your head wondering if you just loaded all your super ammo with 9 grains of n320 instead of n350 because you can't recall reading the lable before your poured it in the measure.
  16. I know one person who shoots it. Its called True Blue. He said it was close to n320 and relatively clean. The major reason to shoot it is the price. I just checked again and the ramshot websight is still down, allthough they have an ETA of febuary 2004. ramshot
  17. Also shot this one last Sunday, finally got the scores. 108 pts in 16.61sec 6.5HF First string was just over 6 sec. Second string sucked, blew the transfer and lost the dot on the weak side.
  18. i dont have a backup. whish i did. If mine did break, I'm sure I'd have half a dozen offers to share guns to finish the match.
  19. I broke a guide rod once, but I didnt know it untill I went to clean the gun after the match. I guess it hinder my match. The other time was wen i was messing around with my sear spign the night before and when I went to the match the hammer started to follow. my bad. Luckly I had a spare. that only cost me one stage.
