  1. Nice to see that they DIDN'T honor my squadding request.
  2. I haven't used one but the other problem I can think of that could occur would be paralax on the windage adjustment. Its pain enough to remember how high or low your bullets will impact at diffrerent distances. With an offset scope left and right would be affected. I couldent tell you how much but it wouldnt be as much as the vertical change. "I'm zeroed at 7 yards....humm... i have to aim 2'' low and was that 1'' left or 1'' right?" Bob does offer a standard scope mount.
  3. First off, are you using powder puff reloads or factory ammo? what length? Have you tried different ammo? I had a usp 40 that once i got below a 150 PF the gun woulden't run well. To complicate matters I dont think that there are aftermarket recoil springs avalible.
  4. I can't stand a "do you know what I mean?" after a fumbled attempt at an explanation of something.
  5. If your that worried about it, you could buy a kidd blast deflector that bolts to the front of the C-more
  6. Happend to me a few weeks ago. Checking my account I found a 300 dollar charge on my check card that I nor my wife made. I imediatly called the bank and they said that they would send some paper work and that i woudl have to fill out a statment and send it back in. Upon reciept of that they would give me a "provisional credit". took about 2 weeks to get my money. The charge is still under investigation. I would push your credit card company to investigate the charges
  7. OK i got the picture up. I figgure that the new firing pin stop should probably take the shape of my limited one or maybe even less of an angle to start. Erik Warren if your around, what does your firing pin stop look like, our guns were built by the same smith.
  8. Better mark the studs first. My brother shattered 3 or 4 bones in his wrist when he decided to put his fist thought the wall during one of his raging fits and hit a stud dead center. 2 alphas
  9. I dont know if the weight of the spring is any different, however the length of travle on the inner rod is sure different. In fact the outer rod and inner are two different lengths for the heavy and light RM. Back at the '02 nationals they had a rush order put through that were assembled incorrectly. They had gotten the wrong combination of inners and outers together. So to awnser your question....go buy a light RM
  10. I've read where that the angle of the firing pin stop on the leading edge were it contacts the hammer will effect the unlock time. A sharper curve will slow the inital movement of the slide keeping it locked a bit longer. My firing pinstop in my STI open gun has a long wide curve to it. I belive this is the cause of the fire ball from my ejection port and the heavy build up of soot inside the front of the slide where the barrel holes are. How tight should I make the curve? or no curve at all- straight 90* angle on the leading edge. what kind of angles are you guys running in your STI/SV firing pin stops. Pics would help. Would an EGW o/s or similar fiing pin stop have some kind of angle on the leading edge? Thanks for any insight. got pics now. the one on the left came out of my limited gun factory STI edge. the one on the right came out of my custom built Open Gun w/ a STI slide pin stop picture
  11. I saw that the stages are up on the WNPL sight. Looks like Nate got suckerd into doing all the work. Lots of gun on table starts. One cooper tunnel.
  12. Today 6.13sec down 8 makes a 8.1 HF. I did loose traction on the way from box A to B. My weak hand crashed into the side of gun when i was reestablishng my grip. For a moment i thought i swept my hand with the muzzle. It should come in right around %75
  13. Back to the top! I know there are a bunch of bay area people lurking in the backgound. If you are planing on attending this years match please send your entry forms in as soon as possible. Also If you want to order a t-shirt the dead line is OCT 1st. We also need people to help RO.
  14. broke my CM 03 cherry on this one. I shot it a 5.7 with a mike. I knew it needed to be fast, but i crashed and burned. I drew to the right paper and Alpha mike on the left paper. I think I drove past the taget on the big transition. Flubed the reload and then mowed the steel down. The crowd said that the last shot was fired berfore the first steel was all the way down. i still sucked though, but had a blast shooting it. Edit: 5.0086 HF in open= 48.0829%
  15. Im going to second that opinion. I found that the higher i pushed my charge weight from my normal load the velocity increases tapered off. I'm running 10.9-11.0 on 3n38 with a 115g MG rn (4 port comp 2 holes) which runs right at 169. After i got up to the 11.5 range the velocity didn't increase any more, it just made a bigger mess off the gun with unburnt powder. One thing that you might try is to use magnum rilfe primers. they helped bring down the spread in my loads and made them cleaner. I have had 3 different lots of 3n38 and haven't hade any significant differences in velocitys. I know SV wants the exclusive use of 3n38 in their barrles, but you might want to try n350 or sr4756 I still suggest you start over, establish a base line with your new "3n38 mix" and work from there and report back. Do realize that as soon as you buy a new can powder that the results clould be slightly different. this is the reason that people buy in lagre quantitys.
  16. 8 stages is good for a section match. 10- 12 for an area match. Any more is just over kill. A 10+ stage match usualy takes 2 1/2 days. If you are planning a match i would recommend use a half day format. I doesn't keep you at the range ALL day. I also would recommend the self squadding system that Rob Boudire has introduced. The Golden Bullet section matched used it and it seemed to be favored by most of the shooters.
  17. How can you even begin to set this up? You'll have to use "the I guess this is the way they wanted" method. Do you have MGM swingers or ones that can be set to the requred pre-activated state? Are you going to set them slow and lazy or lightning fast? Well if you do set it up and pull it off it will be interesting what percentages come back from sedro.
  18. CM 03-13 Any one take a close look at this one? How can they expect us to set this thing up consistantly? No information about the type of swingers used. NO distances for the swinging targets. Nothing about swing rate. I haven't seen a swinger that can be set so the target is vertical before activation, they want the targets covered by the barricate prior to activation. Don't get me wrong, this looks like alot of fun. What was USPSA thinking when they put this one to print? There are just too many variables when it comes to moving targets...How fast the popper falls, the way activator cable is set up, the swinger itself. There is just no way it could be set up "exactly" the same every time.
  19. At best, you could take the tumbler apart and get the dimensions and ratings and or manufacture w/ part number and give a place like this a try. Or take the motor apart and try to find bearings. However it would be a lot less hassle to buy a new one. I still think you can get one from midway for about 30 bucks
  20. Shooting order is nice, however it usually requires someone to take initiative and keep everything in order, which hardly ever happens. For the most part the order gets mixed up and works out fine. I only complain if i have to go first a whole bunch or DFL alot.
  21. Any one know who the MD is? I want to know if the price hike went into effect. I still haven't sent my form in yet. 2 months seems l awefully early to raise the price of the match.
  22. I say keep checking infinityopen.org for updates. While you are there sign up for this infinity sponsored match.
  23. I use the C&S sear and disco with the koenig hammer in my limited gun. It was crisp right out fo the box. Very impressed with the machine finish and the fit was incredible
