  1. You got a watch with all that? Great deal! Sorry couldn't resist! Chronograph. Nolan
  2. Thank you Hitman_USMC! I'm lucky enough to shoot with a bunch of current and former law enforcement and military, most of whom kick my butt! They have a very hard job that I would be totally incapable of doing. So thanks to you and them for your service! Nolan
  3. Coated, plated or jacketed bullets? It could have been a stripped jacket left in the barrel rather than a traditional squib. Nolan
  4. You can put some Blue loctite on the screws to prevent them from tightening/loosening, or if you don't like using the goop, a couple wraps of Teflon pipe tape, or a couple of wraps of fine monofilament fishing line will also work. Nolan
  5. The other one is "Certified XYZ Armorer" and insert whatever gun for XYZ, the most common plumber, err technician is Glock. Nolan
  6. I believe the current descriptor is "Firearm Technician" for them, as opposed to the old "Gun Plumber" Nolan
  7. How many letters? Is the across or Up and Down? Nolan
  8. Do you still have the original buffer tube and buffer system installed? If so, back it out 1 or 2 turns. Mine was screwed in so far the bolt wouldn't lock back even with full power 3" slugs! Nolan
  9. I think their caveat was "Any MILSpec trigger", so any cartridge type triggers may not fit. I presume because of the pivoting ejector mechanism. The ECL may not fit because of the extra springs of the Hiperfire system. Nolan
  10. Shotcore according to the tube of you dougly-doo for the channel 'Rocco' Supposedly has a facepalm page. Nolan
  11. I just put the case feeder plate on my old 2 speed Dillon case feeder and it works great. I mounted the Dislodge Wedge to the curved metal side plate in the 2 speed case feeder by just re-shaping the back side on my belt sander to match the curvature of the metal plate. After I installed the wedge I noticed the caption "Suitable for use only in the Dillon DC Variable Speed Case Feeder model." LOL! Nolan
  12. Be sure to post all of this information on all the 1911 forums and THEN email Kimber customer service with links to all the forum threads. That will either get it fixed or they will never answer another email from you. Nolan
  13. No, the back is called "the shirt ripper." Nolan
  14. Standing Offhand shooting. 50 to 75 yards on Skinny Mini poppers. With and without slings. Most people can shoot small targets with a rested rifle, but offhand separates the better shooters. VTAC barricade work, especially the bottom ports with the rifle sideways and the middle ports that are too tall to kneel/too short to stand. Entering and exiting automobiles. Weak side shooting. Shooting awkward positions without a cheek weld, ie. semi free recoil. Nolan
  15. Excellent book! Another author you would like is Peter Hathaway Capstick. Any one of his 12 or 13 books is a great read. My favorite is "Death in the Long Grass." https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006GR5128/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0 Don't be drinking anything when you read his description of how an angry Elephant kills a man! You'll either have whatever you're drinking come out your nose, or be so grossed out you upchuck everything. A very descriptive writer. Nolan

    ID10T Drivers

ID10T = Anyone driving faster than you. M0R0N = Anyone driving slower than you. IMBEC1LE = Anyone changing lanes more often than you. NITW1T = Anyone that won't get out of your lane. TW1T = Anyone who uses their turn signals. D0RK = Anyone who doesn't use their turn signals. Sadly Californiastan has a full compliment of all of the above. Nolan
  17. A purse.....I live in Californiastan. Nolan
  18. In that case I would shamelessly follow Cha-Lee's recommendation and go visit Wilson Combat, if at all possible, and casually remind them about the Ranger belts, etc.... then say "Oh, by the way, I really like my Experiors and I'm really interested in picking up a Supergrade." That connection will probably cement the deal. Nolan

    10-22s

I have six 10/22's that my wife and I use for Steel Challenge, Rimfire Challenge matches and just general plinking. They are a mix of receivers, Ruger, Tactical Innovation, and Tactical Solutions X-Ring receivers with Kidd, CST, JWH, and Ruger Tactical Solutions bolts. 3 Volquartsen carbon barrels, 1 Tactical Solutions, 1 Kidd and 1 ???? barrels in various stocks. The Kidd barrels have a very tight chamber. Since minute of 10" plate at 25 yards is all the accuracy required, I ran a Bentz chamber ream through all of my barrels. Some 10/22's are very sensitive to under/over lubrication. I lube all of them with Hornady One Shot Gun Cleaner and Lube. I spray a good coating on the inside of the receiver, exterior of the bolt, and recoil spring guide rod and let it dry. I put one very small dab of grease on either the hammer face or the hammer wear contact mark on the back of the bolt. All six run very reliably, we rarely have any malfunctions. https://www.hornady.com/reloading/case-care/lubes-and-cleaners/one-shot-cleaners Second choice for dry lube is WD40 Specialist with Teflon. I actually use the WD40 for cleaning them, it has a very strong carrier/solvent, but it evaporates very quickly. I like the Hornady better as a lube, but the WD40 works almost as well as a lube. https://www.wd40.com/products/dry-lube/ Nolan
  20. Just use round or square steel targets, plate racks or poppers like these https://www.evike.com/shop/28/144/ When we first started shooting in the backyard, the neighbors heads would pop up over the fences like prairie dogs or like Neighbor Wilson, then we would spend the next 30 minutes letting them play with the airsoft. One neighbor actually came to the front door and very politely asked what, where, how to get airsoft to teach his kids. I offered to let them use mine, but this kids lived with their mother, out of state. This was here in Californiastan, your results may vary. It was hilarious (not to be confused with Alec Baldwin's wife) watching them shooting the Texas Star! Then my wife would show them how, Bing Bing Bing Bing Bing! Then she would mow down the plate racks. They generally left pretty quickly after that. Nolan
  21. Go with the airsoft even if they are more expensive than BB guns, they are much safer and you can get models that are exactly like your personal guns. I used airsoft to get my wife ready for shooting Steel Challenge matches. I picked up a complete set of reduced size airsoft Steel Challenge targets and set them up in the back yard. We treated it just like shooting a match. Standard safety rules, range commands, bagging, unbagging, holster, timer, etc... By the time my wife was comfortable enough to shoot a real match, she had close to a hundred practice matches. She shot the match and did very well. The other competitors couldn't believe it was her first 'real' match. We were also going to the shooting range regularly, once she had the safety rules down and was comfortable. Nolan
  22. And if they are a Vegan and get Vaccinated, they will NEVER stop talking! Nolan Yes, I do know such a person and yes, they NEVER stop telling you about it.
  23. Jim, I think the small primer feed tip should be BLUE, part number 14024. Nolan
  24. I have one of the 'standard' 1301 Tactical versions. I added the Nordic 2 round extension kit. https://nordiccomp.com/categories/beretta-1301-tactical-mxt-extension-kit/ I think I bought mine off Ebay. It fits perfect and works well with the rail on the right side (charging handle side) and the QD swivel mount on the opposite. I had to use the Nordic spring and cut it down to length. The Beretta spring was too light. I also replaced the stock front sight with an XS Tritium sight. https://xssights.com/standard-dot-shotgun-bead-benelli-m4-beretta-1301/. I don't like pistol grips on shotguns, so I kept the standard buttstock, but it doesn't have a QD swivel mount like my 1301 Competitions, so I bought one from Brownells https://www.brownells.com/shotgun-parts/receiver-action-parts/receiver-action-hardware/nuts/swivel-nut-insert-xtrema-2-sku913200245-99239-56873.aspx?sku=913-200-245 and replaced the sling mount with the QD swivel nut. I already have several Blue Force slings. I also added an Esstac sidesaddle, just for the Timmy vibe. I really like it. The only thing I haven't done is open up the loading port. It does quad load, not easily, but it does it. Nolan
