  1. Might give it a try if Mag tube nuts become avaliable were they are a plug and play system
  2. I just use an Arredondo switch knob on mine
  3. A lot of the super high trap gun ribs are from unsingle guns which is a double barrel receiver with a single barrel in the Lower area so the rib covers the area where the top barrel would back been. A high rob wouldn't be beneficial in this soirt
  4. Depends on how light your run them. If you run super light springs they need replaced quicker that a heavier spring. On my open gun I can run a 7 pound but I need to change it like ever 1k. An 8 I have to change every 3 months or so. I can got 6 months to a year on a 9-10 pound
  5. Rios are pretty good shells for the money. They have come along way over the years as they use to be junk
  6. A fast light bullet with a lot of slow powder can still work the comp at minor. For steel minor loads with a comp 115 is good 95 grain is better. Don't always shoot for 125 -130 either as you may bet better results at like 140 or so
  7. I have had bad luck with all the delivery services at one point or another. At lease usps for me they place it in the key locked box at the apt and leave a key in my box or place a card that says they delivered it to the apt office. FedEx and ups may deliver to the office or they may run to my door slap a your not home tag and hit the door as they run to the truck. If people were held accountable this would stop or new people would be hired that are willing to do their job.
  8. I use to work all the holidays at the last company I worked with. Was a non essential job that they would charge the clients big time for in the range of 2.5-3 times normal rate while paying those on the field straight time Those in the office took a couple days off for the holidays and basically rubbed it in as they got nice commissions for the assignments they could book on the holidays. I now work for myself and the boss is not a Scrooge and never work the holidays
  9. I have a spartan 9mm that I am running with unmodified vz grips Dawson arched steel mash magwell and a GI guide rod that makes weight. A steel guide rod is overweight
  10. A lot of the 19 slide on a 26 are actually complete 19s that had the grip cut down for 26 mags
  11. Order the new Dawson fixed sights from Dawson as they have a new competiotoj rear with varying width notch. Order directly from Dawson and if it dosent shoot where it needs to they swap fronts for free. That is only for sights bought direct and that have their rear sight.
  12. Some use Teflon tape. Most use red loctite. The comp stays on the barrel and is cleaned still in the slide. Most only brake it off if it needs to be replaced
  13. If your using a Carver Mount, the CR Speed is the only option out there. With the SJC Mount you have other options such as the Racemaster which when locked. the guns not coming out. The CR Speed is one of the least secure holsters out there as you can draw through the lock and a good hit on the back of the gun can dislodge it. Its not as bad for USPSA unless its some weird starts but I would never trust it for 3 gun. Did you have an open shotgun to go with the pistol? If not I would stick with iron sights and shoot tac optic as the shotgun is the big game changer in open more than the pistol
  14. I'll reply. With a quality OU if you have an issue it's rebuild able and parts are gonna be avaliable. With the cheap ones that generally don't last on the market long parts can be hard to get. Your also more hit or miss on the cheap guns as far as barrel regulation as I have seen guns with a lot of regulation problems with the barrels not hitting to the same place
  15. It all depends on the shooter if it's wide enough just rite or too wide. For me, I do not like a ton of daylight and the sevigney style sights don't work for me where I would go stock over them. I run a Dawson adjustable with a front. My preferred daylight is .oo5 ie 115 front 120 rear. 110 front 115 rear etc. Those huge rear and slim front I see a tax faster but shoot slower and less accurate. With the less gap if I see the front in the rear it's centered well enough. Best bet is to see a set and see how it works for you since we are all different
  16. It depends on what you like. I personally hate the sevigney sights as there is way to much light bars for my taste. Im running dawsons on mine with a front and rear width difference of .01 ie 115 front 125 rear etc
  17. A lot if times the gas block had to get moved a touch forward to compensated for the fact that there isn't the front part of the factory handguard on there between has block and shoulder.
  18. 40 is the way to go for a uspsa and 3 gun pistol. The guys using 9mm are often 3 gun only shooters. Your really only going up 3 rounds going with a 40 over 9mm. A 40 can be downloaded to minor pf and if need be go up to major for spinners etc
  19. Yap it's basic but works well especially for a 22
  20. Don't worry about the sights on the glock as most ditch them anyway fixed or adj. For a glock 17 a police tradein can be had well under 600 and are good guns mechanically but have Been carried Add a set of good sights and the taran tactical connector and springs and run it
  21. My logic is if they don't drop free or are way out of spec they go back I'm not accepting a product that dosent work. Tuning for capacity is one thing but they should run and drop free in factory configuration
  22. We have them here that don't think such things as stop signs red lights etc apply to them so they just keep a peddling across traffic then get mad when they get hit. What's even worse when it's done wearing dark clothing at night which was very common when I was in college both walking and on bikes. If your walking or on a bike at night in dark clothing use common sence and use the logic your mom probibally told you at about 5 yo and look both ways before crossing the street or maybe take a physics class to learn that car vs bike or walker the car wins
  23. Check out the officer and commander sized sti Spartans. Nice gun especially for the price. It's a utilitarian finish but the price is right and it's a well made gun
