  1. Some people have pretty low standards when it comes to the ammo they will shoot to the point some pretty unsafe ammo is used by them. I know one shooter who has blown up 2 guns in the last year due to bad reloads. If A shooter has questionable ammo I sure do not wanna RO them
  2. basically that's the same design as the wenig ladies stock
  3. Frame mount. It allows you to use the full size Cmore with a better field of view that is more durable as the slide mounts tend to have issues at some point from getting beat to death moving back and forth. I have also found it easier to track a frame mount as the dot isn't moving on the slide
  4. If your looking for an inexpensive route check the classifieds for a used glock open gun. They can often be had for pretty cheap when people upgrade. The comp will help some but with factory ammo it's still more flippy than a load made for a compensator you reload. For the optic I would have a regular cmore and mount.
  5. Watch putting any weight on the slide of a 22 as you are running the risk of malfunctions. The 22 slide is light for a reason
  6. I say run what you have. As you have a good comp on the gun which helps a lot. Add a cmc or hyperfire trigger and call it good. The low mass system certainly isn't a must have and just starting out is a waste of money. When you can outshoot your current gun then look at upgrading. A lightweight system doesn't help near as much in 3 gun as people act like it does
  7. Single stack minor is a good choice as my 9mm 1911 is very light on recoil. On a 2011 an Edge would have more weight out front and be very light as well. If the weight of the gun wasn't an issue, one of the phoenix trinity steel grips would make for a very heavy gun that should feel like a 22
  8. USPS is cheapest using a flat rate box even better the regional rate flat rate box. I ship USPS all the time and its the best way to send pistols out. On your expensive quote, are you going to UPS ie the hub or the UPS store. UPS store is NOT ups and the rates are higher and they are not suppose to take guns. Those who claim machined parts need to realize those shipments are basically self insured regardless of insurance as they WILL deny the claim if you have one so you just wasted your money on insurance. When shipping ups, this form needs to be filled out and brought in with the shipment USPS-ps1508_editable_ORIGINAL.pdf
  9. that's about the only option without going custom made or going slide mounted optic
  10. A hand brush is slow but can do decent but it's hard to get it clean all the way without blasting. "The dip" used for supressors may work as well
  11. Sti spartan add a magwell trigger job and new front sight and your good to go. A ramped barrel is not needed in a 9mm and mine runs great
  12. Your barrel must be very slow as your using quite a bit more powder than I did across the board with both hs6 and autocomp
  13. I have used 2219 and was getting 174pf with a 124 Cmj at 1.17 and 8.2 grains I am also getting the same with 115 jhp at 1.16 and 8.8. Your Barrel must be pretty slow as I have 2 holes on mine
  14. Wouldn't the texturing assist with reducing recoil? Not really it would be the same as skate take and not angled like a Thumb rest
  15. It's legal no different than changing 1911 triggers etc. Basically I the gun is limited legal for uspsa it's 3 gun legal
  16. Fixed Dawson competition sights bought from Dawson. If it dosent sight in they swap it out
  17. I would have some instruction done first before buying a shotgun. If you hand a new shooter. Shotgun without having a good mount etc down then honestly they probibally don't have much of an idea what actually feels the best If they get good technique then a heavier gun will probibally be appreciated once shooting. The reason people in skeet would shoot the 20 for the 12ga event. Is the desire to have the same feeling gun across the board reather than shoot a lighter 12 ga barrel without the tubes or using a weight which gets it close in feel and gives them a heavier gun. They are not shooting a lighter dedicated 20 ga. Even an 8-8.5 pound semi shouldn't be an issue for even a female shooter with decent technique as there smaller female shooters using heavier guns and moving them quite we'll. get the heaviest gun you can swing
  18. It's normal. Usually it's either over the shoulder muzzle forward, held in hand hand or barrel resting on shoe. The semi is usually barrel up or down with the action open. The gun is emptied on the pad. It's basically load 2 shoot 2 unless only one shot is needed then load one. Heck in trap on handicaps your allowed to have shooters on different yardage on the same squad so someone beside you may be farther back than you. If your shooting it your gonna have a gun sweep you to some extent and that's just a fact of life Different game different rules as there is no dq and release triggers are not uncommon especially in trap. Shot a ton in hs and college and done even flinch at it.
  19. If you haven't used them and are on the fence I would try the knockoff. The originals are a lot of money for something you may decide you don't like
  20. The key to running a button is do not use a light weight mag catch spring. Use a standard or extra power one The light weight one is often the one used when people Are dropping mags out with a button
  21. shoes are not considered equipment so change at will
  22. My STI does work better after I had the slide lightened. Its a 6 inch and with the factory weight slide was getting more bounce almost like a wet noodle. The lightening did help it a lot as its approximately 5 inch weight. The problem with the glock is its already a light gun and more violent than a heavier 2011. Taking even more weight off makes it even worse. The spring weight does a lot for the glock but I would leave the slide as is. The taran tactical guns are left without cuts as well for same reason it makes it move violent and not handle as well
  23. I have shot both and am not a fan of the lightened slide on the 35.
  24. Are you doing the proper prep work fully degreasing and waiting 24 hours before shooting or using it. I have never had one come loose on an aluminum receiver If you decide to go to red it's not a big deal as it's not like the mount gets removed often if at all. If it does your heating the screw with the mount getting heated on so your good. Big thing on loctite is it must be properly degreased first and given time to set
  25. Nope not any retention issues with the holsters where the lack of a retaining strap makes them any less secure than what people are using right now. The ones most common now are new shooters with a leather holster with a thumb break or guys using 3 gun gear with a hood etc. Seems foolish to make the guy with his 3 gun rig use all the retention and the guy with a race holster unlock it or the guy with his kydex holster soo loose that it dosent even have a friction retention on it like one shooter here does where the fun is basically in a pouch the kydex is so loose.
