  1. Do any of you see a problem with using a spray dry-lube, like Remington, on the ram shaft of a 550? I know motor oil is recommended, but it gets gunked up pretty bad from primer residue right where the primer bar slides.
  2. Better to let Dillon fix it than trying to tinker and voiding any warranty it may have.
  3. I have to trim rifle brass often. I never trim pistol brass.
  4. Check gunbot daily and put in some product notifications on different websites. You need to stay diligent to find it and then get it before it's gone.
  5. I use Remington Dry Lube. It works great too.
  6. Uh no. Not ever gonna pay that much for powder.
  7. All I've ever tried were their RN bullets. I liked them so much I haven't tried any other shapes. The RNHPCB are round nose heavy plate concave base. I'm not sure of any advantage over their regular bullets that justifies the additional $4 per 500.
  8. Yes. They always provide free shipping. It use to be pretty fast when they used USPS, but it's gotten slower since they switched to UPS. But it's free, so I can't complain. Yeah, any idea what's up with this? I can't imagine UPS being cheaper (used to have a business acct w/them), and indeed, it seems to take a week+ now coming to me East Coast..used to order on a Monday and usually get by Thursday. Other than cost savings I can't see why they made the switch. But it does take a little over a week to get my bullets now. But it's worth the wait.
  9. I did too. 2K 124g 9mm RN. I said screw it and ordered 2K more.

  11. Xtreme is running another 10% off sale until Wednesday. Only on 9mm plated bullets. Get them while you can. Code: 9mmPlated It's case sensitive.
  12. I'm currently using a Dillon digital scale to weigh my powder charges. I like the size and the ease of use..., and the fact that it matches all my other Dillon stuff.... But it seems to be pretty inconsistent when used with the power adapter plugged in. I haven't used it enough with just batteries to get an idea of the consistency. Are these scales more consistent when used with just batteries to power them? Are there ways to overcome the power fluctuations that make these scales inconsistent when they're plugged into an outlet?
  13. Anyone know if Dillon plans to produce a single stage press? I would be first in line if they did. I love my progressive, but I think the market is there for Dillon to join the single stage crowd. We know it would be a quality machine and would be great for more precision loading.
  14. Thanks for the info fellas! I think I'll just use some brake cleaner or shotgun blaster and clean it out.
  15. Anyone have a video or a diagram of how to disassemble a 550? I mainly want to pull the main shaft and clean it off.
