I'm in between Grump and RAP - can't beat the N320 powder for pistol, but no reason to spend all that money on jacketed bullets - I'd go with RAP's BB's for bullets

Any other info on this (I've never heard of it) would be appreciated. Price ? What powder is it similar to ? How do you buy it ?

I keep hearing that 3n38 is The Best for Open 9mm Major ... Love to hear what you think of the AA7 in comparison

What are the old and new platforms ? Are you a C, or B shooter ? How far are your targets when you dry fire ? Size of targets ?

Can you shoot .40 for everything ?

Whoa. Which is it ? If they don't lose much value, you can't get much of a break on a used gun, or, they do lose value, and you can get a break on a used gun. Can't have it BOTH ways I never buy a used gun that I can't shoot before deciding - has to be local to do that, of course

Our host, Brian Enos, sells a great lube - I use it all the time on all my guns. I shoot OPEN, and any oil tends to splatter the C-More, but the Slide-Glide does NOT splatter, at all And, I'm still using the small container of Slide-Glide I bought ten years ago.

My "local" smith, in New York, installed a front sight for me, that blew off the gun on the first stage of a match 250 miles from home He also told me that many modifications that I subsequently had done, were not possible. Really depends on how good Your Local smith is - BTW, I also had problems with a known smith who was 100 miles from home. Here in Florida, there are a few smiths I've have success with, nearby (at my local clubs). Just depends on how lucky you get

From what I've read, you will get much better dot movement in a steel gun. I shoot a STI TruBor, but have never fired a Major plastic gun.

Based on what I've been reading here on BE, there seems to be a LOT I could be doing to get faster, starting with dry firing. So, yeah, I guess he did lie to me

There's a LOT of weight in a 33 round mag - pulling the mag down. Doesn't take much for the round to be too low to strip.

I went a few years without a slide racker - don't know how many times I cut my hand up racking the slide to clear a jam. Will NOT live w/o a racker - if I shot Limited, I'd insist on the racker on that gun also

Could be a great idea, BUT it's too early to tell. Keep shooting the G17 (or, even better, shoot The Wilson or Baer) for a little longer BEFORE you make your decision. Or, BEST OPTION, keep both 1911's and order your Infinity
