  1. If you feel the 180's are "too slow" for you, and interfering with your speed, the 165's should be a little snappier and come back onto target a little faster. IFF you have a strong grip on the gun.
  2. Would depend on your situation : for crowded living, I'd keep it to large birdshot to prevent overpenetration (maybe a 4-5 shot). Kel-Tec has a GREAT self-defense shotgun that holds 15 rounds in two mags - you can keep birdshot in one mag and buckshot in the 2nd mag, and go back and forth selectively.
  3. Memory stages are TOUGH, even the night before, in some cases. I can't think of a single thing that would help much if you haven't scoped it out in advance. I've shot two stages that stick out in my mind that were Memory Stages one of which I was unprepared. Never solved it in time. Sucked badly I spend a half hour on one (at Frostproof, about ten years ago) that I could NOT figure out. Sucked just as badly But, I also remember a COF in Long Island, about the same time, that I aced - figured out the solution in 5 minutes (in the last few seconds) and shot A level even though I was a C, at the time. Still feels GREAT to remember that single stage
  4. Those are Very Nice friends - probably costs them at least 50% more than that without their time ....
  5. 9mm brass usually ships, clean, for 3 cents/case, but more for brass that has been undersized. Primers around 2-3 cents each; coated bullets around 6 cents and powder 2-3 cents/shot (the VV's cost more than other brands). So, a decent price is 3 cents each for powder, primer and case; and double that for the bullet
  6. The reverse is normal, but not to the degree you mention (2.5 lbs to 8.5 lbs). Usually the lower on the trigger, the lighter the pull because of leverage.
  7. You can check the diameter of your barrel. Possible that the .357's will produce better accuracy and velocity in your gun - you'd be well advised to lower the amount of powder you use and work back up with a chrono. If the bullets you are using are accurate, you might elect not to further investigate and stay with the .355's or .356's you are used to using.
  8. I always thought yoga was for old ladies ..... Until I joined my wife's class one day ..... Didn't last five minutes That stuff is brutal ....
  9. Sure be worth tinkering around in your garage for a few hours to find out .... I'd guess that for $6,000 you could run three 1050's side by side, one each to dispense just the right amount of coffee, sugar and cream. Tough to refrigerate the creamer, though .... Did we start happy hour a little early today ?
  10. Four months before you shot a match with it ? You're more patient than I am. Sounds like the gun did a good job - glad you enjoyed it
  11. Sure. But didn't see how potato chips would make my ears ring ....
  12. Start at 1.16" and work in until it fits Your Chamber and mag
  13. Voila. Eureka. I believe you've found the problem
  14. Few of us do .... I presume you mean 300 yards ?
  15. Have to agree strongly with Rigger and CPD - you are not well advised to be developing high pressure loads without a chrono. You can get into trouble very quickly and unexpectedly
  16. Now THAT makes some sense. Higher blood pressure is the culprit, not my potato chips
  17. Don't shoot it in your gauge .... save it all for your guns That seems to happen a LOT - that's why I use my firearm as my gauge
  18. I use JHP's so I don't have comp crud
  19. Looks like the Mod's should move this discussion to where it belongs ....
