G-ManBart
Another thread got me wondering about this. How many different brands of pistol have you shot matches with? In no particular order, I've shot matches with six that I can think of: Beretta, Colt, Glock, Smith, Springfield and STI. Lots of people have to be way over that...let's hear it. Duane Thomas
Not that many, actually. I tend to shoot in matches my carry gun. And I carry only what I know works. Staring back into dim memory, I have shot matches with: SIG Wilson Combat Les Baer Glock A custom Makarov (hey, don't laugh, I won a plate match with that thing) Nowlin (one time, for an article). Some pretty cool lists folks have going here....thought it might be interesting. R,
Duane Thomas
I actually really enjoyed that one, taking my little double action first shot Makarov and beating all the guys with Glocks, HKs, 1911s, Browning Hi-Powers, all the short trigger pull guns. One guy running a custom Para P16-40 said to me, after I beat him on a run, "You can't do that. That's not possible. That's like running an eight second quarter mile in a VW."
