glock17w
I am wondering how many major matches does everyone shoot a year? Where would you go to see the major matches that are shot all year if you were to plan out the whole shooting season? Thanks for your input. MoNsTeR
Pretty much zero. I should at least make it to CO State next year, and hopefully Area 1, but more than that would be a miracle.

CRubio
Depending on my travel schedule, I try to make as many as I can drive to. State Area 6 Kentucky Nationals (Limited and Open) Ga. State Planning on going to: Tennessee Louisiana Gator Classic Area 5 North Carolina Mississippi Area 2 (On waiting list so this one is doubtful )

bgary
Gotta find a better balance in 2006... Same here. In a "normal" year, I'll hit -- Area-1 -- Area-2 -- (maybe one other Area match or big tournament) -- The handgun Nats -- 4 or 5 Section or State matches around Area-1 -- the "Crazy Croc" (8 stages, 400+ rounds... gotta do it! ) -- a handful of 3-gun matches (eg, Area-1 3-gun) This year I am *way* off the pace because of work, and half of the matches I've been to I've ended up in the stat shack. Missed the Nats because of work. Did stats at the Area-1, the Northwest Section match (and the upcoming Area-1 3-gun). Am *really* looking forward to the 3-gun Nats, but if I don't get some trigger-time sometime soon, it may not be worth going all the way down there just to shoot like a doofus.. Ron Rodgers
This has been a bad year - only made it to 4 big matches: PSA Steel Shoot Area 7 Championship Summer Blast Western PA Sectional (this weekend) Sure would have liked to shoot others, but involvement with the Area 8 Championship limited my time on the range and major matches scheduled for our club's match dates prevented even more. Filthy1
It's been a crazy year... Started the year off with SHOT Show (I know, not a match but still worth the trip if you get a chance) FL Open Area 6 Courtland Little Big Match back to back with KY State Area 8 (Still my "DO NOT MISS Match of The Year") Targeting Education Match Ohio Sectional US Limited Nats US L10 Nats Ontario Provincials Canadian Nationals World Shoot XIV Quebec Provincials I missed alot of US matches due to conflicts with the international match schedule. Side Note: Somehow I managed to organize a charity golf tournament for 144 co-workers somewhere in there and also managed to spend a weekend with the buds at the IHRA Canadian Nationals (drag racing). Still to go...Hell I'm tired Ontario Triangle Level 3 I have to miss the Area 5 (wedding to go to) Can't wait for winter so I can relax....
