Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. First and foremost... Jeff and Larry pulled it off. I will be first to admit that I was very worried about the challenge of running 9 stages on day 1, flipping to 9 completely different stages on day 2, then flipping to 9 completely different stages for days 3 & 4. From what I saw I am pretty sure that none of the competitors caught themselves saying "This stage is just like yesterdays IPSC stage." It was a pleasure working with Gordon, Jennifer, T-Moore, and Kenny A down on Bay 6. Thanks to Matt C and Mike D for keeping us stocked with Gatoraide and water. Competitors were all polite and graceful even while getting dinged with "2 mikes; 1 FTE". It was nice not having to deal with any hot heads this weekend. Thanks to Jeff for letting me bring in some Canadian Officials, and thanks to the Canadian Officials for putting yourself out on a limb for what could have been a risky endeavor. Al, Julie, Tim, and John... great job! (That includes Mike and Joe too!) And the Road to Bali continues... Phil
  2. Greetings All, Canadian Nationals Results can be found on this site http://www.tmsa.net/ipsc/results.php?curye...tch=060802-nats without the need for IPSC Canada Passwords. Shoot Off Winners were: Open - Henning Standard - Mike D. Production - Jamison R. Cheers Eh?
  3. It's been a crazy year... Started the year off with SHOT Show (I know, not a match but still worth the trip if you get a chance) FL Open Area 6 Courtland Little Big Match back to back with KY State Area 8 (Still my "DO NOT MISS Match of The Year") Targeting Education Match Ohio Sectional US Limited Nats US L10 Nats Ontario Provincials Canadian Nationals World Shoot XIV Quebec Provincials I missed alot of US matches due to conflicts with the international match schedule. Side Note: Somehow I managed to organize a charity golf tournament for 144 co-workers somewhere in there and also managed to spend a weekend with the buds at the IHRA Canadian Nationals (drag racing). Still to go...Hell I'm tired Ontario Triangle Level 3 I have to miss the Area 5 (wedding to go to) Can't wait for winter so I can relax....

  5. Anyone know the e-mail address to submit a request for scoring corrections? I think it was stats@.......... thanks
  6. Bali Indonesia was the only country to apply for the next Worlds... and yes it was approved at the General Assembly. That is the word down in Ecuador.
  7. I think Skywalker hit the nail on the head. No offence Vince, but I can't even believe you replied that way: What happened to FREESTYLE??? If half way through a match, I, as a competitor after hearing the stage briefing that specifies Start Position "Gun Loaded & Holstered, competitor within the confines of "Box A" decides that I want to start lying on my weak side on the ground, say, because there is a low port infront of the start position, should a RO say "You can't start like that because the previous competitors didn't start like that" (any other rules aside). Sure sounds that way from your reply. Please clarify you answer... tell me you didn't mean it that way...tell me you were sleeping when you replied...anything...please... Phil
  8. Vince, I totally agree with you that the stage briefings are the place to decide if "gun on table" really means flat. I was attending the same Level III match where Madness and myself argued that the the stage briefing did not say "gun flat on table". We were not allowed to start with gun standing as the pic in the 1st post portrays. We were told that it was not safe. Which I thought was ludicrous since competitors hand position was also not spicified. By the way the stage briefing was written you could have started with gun standing on table and hand hovering within mm's of gun (as long as you were not touching it of course). Vince... Question: Is the RO/CRO responsible for stage briefing interpretation and/or deciding that a competitors UNIQUE interpretation of the stage briefing should be allowed or not? If this went to arbitration how do you think the competitor would fare?
