johnbu
https://www.justpark.com/creative/reaction-time-test/ I've been working and working on dry fire draw speed and the 1.00s barrier is impenetrable. 1.2s are when everything is cooking and the occasional 1.1s when I probably jumped the buzzer. The draw action seems quick, yet the times lag. Then I was sent a link to a program that guesses age based on how quick you react to a STOP sign popping up. Actually, my reflex time is 15-20years under chronological age, but still that's .480s hovering a finger 1/2" above the touch screen. No wonder I can't get an aimed shot off from the holster in under a second when I'm just standing there for half the time!
Zoomy
I got 22, 27 and 23 yo. I'm almost 56.
johnbu
I got 22, 27 and 23 yo. I'm almost 56. We're the same age, but I'm getting 40-45 yo. Sigh, oh well what I lack in speed I make up for with inaccuracy.
jnr88
66 years old. .333. This equals a 23 year old reaction time. My draw still sucks and now I feel bad. Thanks for this thread. LOL
Lastcat
Ok, I'll play. 60 yr old, .307 time, 19 yr old. Now back to dry firing.....

EclipseDS
"we're not sure if you're an actual human being" .288. I wish I can draw even twice that. .248 is damn impressive though.
TonytheTiger
I averaged 25-27 years old. Unfortunately that apparently makes me very average, as that is my age. I did accidentally touch the screen while hovering and got a .124, it asked if I was actually human.
johnbu
Yikes! Now I know why you guys are holstering up and walking away while I'm just clearing leather! You just ain't human! ....and I'm glacially slow. Lol. Just redid it... .546. I'm slowing down! Edited March 16, 2016 by johnbu
mach1soldier
Trying to aim and get under a second is your problem. Not your reaction time

ItZallGooD
My internet connection is dismal. Its all choppy. I keep getting 65-80 year old reaction times. I'm only 39. Although it is 5:30 am and I'm only through 1/2 of my coffee. Who knows, I'll try later and see how it goes. I can do sub 1.0 sec draws consistently. slbrugby
I keep getting low to mid 20's. Good thing it isn't based off of a "beeeeep". I'd be much slower
BrianKr
Chronologically 63, my times told me that I was 45-27 with most being in the low 30s. My shooting times don't reflect that though. Edited March 16, 2016 by BrianKr
tha1000
Alas, my shooting skills are very human.
MilkMyDuds
Fun to play but not accurate because obviously I am human People who play a lot of video games (including me) will excel at this. Not an accurate measurement of shooting related reaction time IMO

Neomet
61 .560. I guess I should be happy that this equates to a 49 year old but I'm just not feeling the joy. LOL
Jake Di Vita
I don't know about you guys, but my auditory reaction time is a tenth faster than visual. .23 to .
crowmag
The average reaction time for humans is 0.25 seconds to a visual stimulus, 0.17 for an audio stimulus, and 0.15 seconds for a touch stimulus. I had to look it up.

I guess that says a lot about how much reaction speed matters in USPSA. I'm slower than average and can still hit sub .7 draws without much difficulty.
