BMaus
So is the barrel length 125 or 119mm ? From the catalogue; 'Meets the legal standards ... of Australia...' so 125mm it is. The 2016 catalogue still has the Shadow, Shadow Dualtone and Shadow Orange. http://www.czub.cz/produktovy_katalog_en/index.html http://www.czub.cz/en/produkty/pistole/competition/cz-shadow-2.html Edited February 21, 2016 by BMaus

LeviSS
Heavy gun. If their weight is accurate, it will weigh 46.91oz. That would make it illegal for IDPA SSP, which would suck.
MilkMyDuds
Heavy gun. If their weight is accurate, it will weigh 46.91oz. That would make it illegal for ALL IDPA DIVISIONS IDPA SSP, which would suck.

bigdave24
Interesting. This site lists the barrel length as 119 mm under technical data. http://www.czub.cz/en/produkty/pistole/competition/cz-shadow-2.html So perhaps the 125 mm barrel length is only in Australia? If you read the catalogue (http://www.czub.cz/produktovy_katalog_en/index.html) there are several references to 125mm barrel so I think this is the worldwide length. Would make sense, marketing wise people want the (slightly) longer barrel and one manufacturing setup would be cheaper and suit all markets. perttime
It does look right - but Tanfoglio has some interesting, and also new, stuff too. If I were looking for something to use in Standard/Limited/Production, I'd really want to handle some options before buying.

bigdave24
Even in the catalog, under technical data it says barrel length 119 mm, but in the writeup it says 125 mm. Hopefully it's 125 mm.
hwansikcjswo
My tanfo runs 2k+ rounds w/o cleaning, no malfs. Ergonomics aside, I've seen that the Tanfos usually need to be cleaned every 3-400 rounds or they start to malfunction, and then you have to play games with firing pins and primers to keep things reliable if you'd done much trigger work on them. A buddy of mine has done triggers for Ben and JJ, as well as his own guns, and the setup he uses involves a dry fire firing pin, practice ammo firing pin, and then a match firing pin (which needs Fed SP primers). This is also someone who's friends with Eric G, so he's getting the best info available...he said he spent the better part of a couple of months working on his Stock IIs every day to get the triggers as good as they are (and they're pretty good). After all of that, my Shadows (one of which I bought from this same guy when he got his Stock IIs) have better triggers, and have zero issues with reliability even after 1K+ rounds without cleaning, and require no thought about firing pins, primers, etc.

slavex
I'll be at IWA and at the launch for this gun, will report as soon as I have info. I'm grabbing a bunch of the rear sights while over there as they will fit on regular Shadows and you just need a 7mm front sight for them to work. My biggest concern is going to be holsters. DAA will likely have an adapter for the Race Master holster, but I'm thinking Kydex holsters will take awhile to come online, unless they've made arrangements with someone
