mikeAZ
I've been disappointed with the M-4, 4/6 position stocks I've tried.... SOOOO...... Do they all have a bit of wiggle in them?.... May I should go with the ACE fixed rifle length?..
larry weeks
The M4 style all move. The Ace is noce and light. If you want adjustability that ends up solid, look at the Luth AR stock. Very adjustable, with cheekpiece and more.
Brian04rs
I have a adjustable luth on my 3 gun at its solid and the adjustable cheek piece is nice for consistent cheek weld
TonytheTiger
You never mentioned what your desired length of pull is? Your question is too open ended without more details.
spd522
I have never tried the Luth but plan on using one for a bull barrel build I want to do. I actually like more weight at the back to offset the weight of the barrel. My left shoulder is trashed from a car wreck and unable to maintain steady so the rearward weight helps change the balance. I use a Magpul UBR. Very solid and adjustable, but heavy. Craig
Steve RA
+1 for the Ace !!!
StealthyBlagga
Magpul UBR is solid and heavy, but expensive. As you already have an M4 buffer tube installed, consider the Magpul CTR, which is light and inexpensive, or the Magpul ACS if you want a little more weight. Both will fit right onto your existing buffer tube, and lock up rock solid. The Ergo F93 stock is comparable to the UBR in weight and solidness, and a little cheaper, but does have a tad more play front-to-back (not really noticeable when shooting). If you want a fixed stock, it is hard to beat the Luth stock for the $$$. I won one at RM3G and really like it. The cheekpiece did not really work for me so I pulled it off... stock works just great without it. Garmil
Royal arms tacar stock. I've had a few others and this is my favorite by far. Zero wiggle or play in any direction. http://www.royalarms.com/shop/tacar-ar15-adjustable-stock/ Edited September 26, 2015 by Garmil
dcloudy777
I recently went from a fixed stock to the Magpul CTR. It has a extra "lock" that tightens it up pretty darn wobble free, and the ability to shorten up the rifle comes in handy sometimes.
SCAR
The ACE is a good choice and so is the Magpul fixed MOE rifle stock. Its the perfect length for myself.

Nathanb
The b5 sopmod has no play in an adjustable. I have a mission first tactical minimalist stock on an sbr that locks up tight too
CJW
I just put the Battlelink Minimalist on a mil-spec carbine tube build. It is tight. It is adjustable and in the same price range as a Magpul MOE but it has absolutely no wiggle; indeed, it actually takes a little effort to adjust it intentionally. So far, I like it quite a lot. Stlhead
I fell for the JP marketing email and bought one of the new ultra light rifles with the minimalist. The minimalist is pretty darn cool, the whole rifle is super cool, but as this thread is about stocks, I can say that if the weight works for you you may just dig the minimalist, feels good, locks up solid, no wiggle and seems like no wisker pulling. toothandnail
F93 is the most solid I've found that is not fixed

Bullittmcqueen
There are a lot of fancy, expensive stocks out there now, but I've not found anything to make me get rid of my CTR yet. For me it's just perfect. No wiggle either.
JonKC
I use a B5 Sopmod on most of my rifles, I have a BCM gunfighter as well. The B5 has a small amount of wiggle but it doesn't bother me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
cactusbrew
I'm an STR fan myself. Solid stock, has nice platform for cheek rest, and does not wiggle. For the price and quality, I just don't think it can be beat. Edited October 1, 2015 by cactusbrew
mpom
B5 stock here. Had some play, so a strip of aluminum tape on the receiver extension (buffer tube) solved that issue.
GSonnen
I have tried the Magpul UBR (great stock, but too heavy), the Magpul fixed, and I am happiest with the Ace Ultra Light fixed stock. I nixed the foam cover and double wrapped it in 550 cord. It is VERY light, sturdy, & gives a solid cheek and shoulder weld. JBOT5000
+1 on the LMT Sopmod never had a stock that was more rock solid even after years of hard use. I just won a VLTOR IMOD today so I'll see how that compares. JF
