  1. I just worked u p a load with 115 Berry's round nose and 4.0 gr of Sport Pistol. It feels really light. I am going to try it in a match Saturday and will have more feedback.
  2. I have not had any feeding issues with mine, so I am not sure that it is an issue. I assume this could be platform specific.
  3. I had been shooting a Berry's 147 and 3.2 gr Sport Pistol in my PCC with great results. I just tried a 115 Berry's with 4.0 gr Sport Pistol and it is even softer. I am going to shoot a match with it this weekend and see how it feels over a complete match.
  4. I have been practicing the movement between boxes, and also do not look at my feet when I transition. I do keep the rifle pointed toward my next target as I move, but have not quite developed the ability to keep the dot on it while moving. I am aware that I move my trigger along the receiver while taking my steps, so I don't get it back on the trigger until I feel my lead foot settle in the box.
  5. I agree with you on the expectations of performance when wearing a jersey. When I first started I assumed the folks wearing jerseys must be really fast. It didn't take long to figure out that I was beating them in my shorts and t shirt. On a side note, I have seen a few folks in their jerseys that would probably disappoint the companies advertised on it based on their behavior. They were far from ambassadors for the products.
  6. I don't necessarily think it is so much about how heavy the barrel is. I think it is more about where the weight is. I have their barrel on my PCC, and what it did was move the weight of the rifle between my pistol grip and my handguard. Yes, it took weight off of the rifle, but by moving it between my arms I am able to swing and stop with what feels like more precision. My times tell me something has improved.
  7. I had this happen. Had an order of 50,000 come from PD. I had a buddy that worked at my local Post Office, and he called me asking what in the world I had ordered. I told him I would be by with my truck to get them from the loading dock, but my poor, industrious delivery driver had loaded everything in his car already when I got there. I got back home and he was huffing and puffing carrying boxes down my driveway. I got him a Christmas present that year.
  8. My load would pick up about 15-18 PF between my production gun and my PCC with the 16" barrel. With the Wiland barrel I am back down to 130 and you can feel a difference in the recoil.
  9. It is a 5.5 inch barrel with a 10.7 inch shroud if I am not mistaken. You can see on the barrel where it transitions from the rifled barrel to the shroud. I don't think you will be disappointed if you choose this barrel.
  10. That is $117 under the MAP price for the R1 Pro. Sounds like a good way for them to lose that line.
  11. 8.1.1.6 specifically states that "Sweeping or pointing the muzzle of a firearm at any part of any person’s body during the course of fire. If the firearm is in a case and not in the competitor’s hands, sweeping does not apply. Reaching forward of the muzzle of a cased firearm to close the case is not a sweeping infraction, provided the competitor’s hands are completely clear of the firearm itself." To avoid any issues with this, I never unzip my case past the muzzle.
  12. I stand there until they say make ready. It would be a huge bummer to get a DQ over unzipping my case.
  13. I just picked up a set of Gauges and shot a match with them this weekend. They are very comfortable, and the lenses are amazing. Our day started with mist and fog, and ended with bright sun turning to shadows on some of the targets. The contrast made targets and my dot easy to pick up. Brian is awesome to deal with too.
  14. At 3 grand, I am not sure how much of the market this one will occupy. I like an AK platform in other configurations, but have not shot one in PCC configuration.
  15. I just received my Hunters HD Gold yesterday, and I am very impressed. I will shoot my first match with them today, so I will have more feedback after the match. Doing some dry fire last night, I noticed that the dot was really easy to pick up with them.
  16. This just means we will have to put in a little more time at the range. The lower times are being shot, so it leaves a real gap between GM and a competitive GM.
  17. I am not sure how it compares accuracy wise with the others, but mine has been very accurate with my Steel Challenge loads. One thing that I felt was good with Wiland is that they will chamber the barrel to you loads if you send them dummy rounds. I have a couple of matches shot with it now as well as some practice sessions and I could not be happier with its performance.
  18. I changed the slide stop out and it fixed the issue. As a matter of fact, I took it out yesterday and tried a half-dozen different Wilson mags and it ran great with no more stuck mag issues.
  19. I have started spraying some Otis Dry Lube on a q-tip and rubbing it around the edge of the chamber on my X-Ring and PCC both. I have not had a single feed or extraction issue since I started doing that. I also sonic clean the bolt after each match and then lube with the same dry lube. No burned powder residue or anything is present after shooting a few hundred rounds, so that is one of the things I really like about the dry lube. It makes my cleaning process seem almost cosmetic.
  20. I am in the same boat. I had been using Mini Mags and tried the clean ammo. I really like the lack of lube on it. It seems to keep everything much cleaner, and I have had no malfunctions with it.
  21. I have started using it. It is a handy app. I like being able to see right away if I just had a new personal best time on a stage.
  22. I like the calculator too. I like knowing how far from the next classification I am.
  23. I just put a Wiland USA PCC barrel on my AR9 and was able to shoot a match for the first time with it today. That little barrel is the real deal. It weighs 15oz and felt like I had put a pivot point on the rifle just in front of the mag well. This is a Steel Challenge gun, and it made it handle great. No affiliation with them, but they are a great bunch to deal with and produce a really nice product.
  24. I have seen one shooter try using gloves so far. He was having an awful time getting a solid grip due to sweating heavily, so he tried a glove on his non-trigger hand. It didn't seem to help.
