  1. I can really see both sides of this issue. The folks who were chasing the freshly moved peak times may not have had much chance to improve this year. In all honesty, the four second move wasn’t really enough last year, so I think another move was almost inevitable this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t move times though since we have had such a crazy year.
  2. I enjoyed his posts. He will be missed.
  3. I like bullets in the 125gr range. After some experimenting with other weights these have been the flattest shooting from my GMR-15 Ultralight.
  4. The latter also has a section to review individual results, as well as the different “master” titles. Is that something that only shows in iOS?
  5. I went though the help desk, ticket 3607. The response I received did not answer the question. I am specifically trying to get the results output from the second picture. Everything else works properly, such as uploads to SCSA. Thanks for taking a look at this. I know you are the one who can get me straightened out.
  6. I am trying to figure out how to make our club’s SCSA results show up like the second picture below. I can’t seem to find any setting that would make the change. We currently use the “clone match” option, so I am curious if that’s why I don’t have the option to change the result display. I would appreciate any help that can be offered. I reached out to Practiscore and didn’t get much help.
  7. That 57.52 only lasted a day. I was squadded with Chris yesterday when he shot the 56.57, and it was awesome. He has worked hard for this. I am proud to be on the same team with him.
  8. Bringing this back to the top, but I don’t think we have really seen the true drop in centerfire yet due to ammo shortages. I know several shooters who have just enough ammo or components to get through WSSC with their centerfires, including PCC. This includes factory sponsored shooters who can’t get ammo right now. I bet it will drop off big time as we move into fall.
  9. I am starting to see it on the Steel Challenge side. Shooters only competing with one gun, etc. There are several who are holding on to ammo for the upcoming state and world matches. Heck, one friend who is a factory shooter for a major ammo company can't even get ammo from them.
  10. Congrats on your first match. When my little boy shot his first match I had explained that not getting DQd was the forst goal. Go to YouTube and watch Steve Foster's videos. He shares some really helpful information that will allow you to understand some of the techniques and strategy of Steel Challenge. Also, most of the top shooters at your local matches will gladly help with some advice and pointers.
  11. My RFRO and PCCO first shots are generally in the .5 second range. If I am on I might dip into the .48 range. Some stages are a tad slower. Speed Option is one of those slower ones for me.
  12. I am so glad that my wife and I decided to ignore the pandemic warning and go see him in concert back in March. His show was great, and he was not afraid to tell things how he saw them. I was going to take my little boy to see him next month, and we had back stage access for the show. He cried when we told him that Charlie had died.
  13. My son is shooting the Magnum Research Switchbolt in an Axiom stock. I shoot one too. It is light and adjustable. Reach out to me if you'd like a discount code.
  14. If you haven't shot a JP, I will be glad to let you try mine at Cavern Cove this month (if you are who I think you are).
  15. It was always going to be OL and SO that were left out. The match had been built in Practiscore with eight stages and the wrong one got eliminated. I think the word had just not made it out about the mistake. I am just shooting the Worlds, and am not going to RO.
  16. They are not leaving Showdown out. The registration stages are wrong and they didn't want to start changing the squads. I am an RO on Showdown Saturday morning. The only stages not being shot are OL and SO.
  17. They had a few considerations. Responses to a survey showed that folks wanted to shoot a six stage match this year. They also had to appease CMP on COVID stuff by reducing the number of shooters (2 fewer 12 shooter squads per session). It will be a fast match for sure without OL and SO.
  18. I went from Oakley Prizm lenses to Hunters HD Gold and will never look back. The Hunters lenses provide excellent contrast in every shooting situation I have experienced, including fog, sun, rain, snow, shadows, and combinations of those. The price of admission can appear high, but they are well worth it in my opinion.
  19. I had a Leadstar and it shot very well and seemed to be good quality. I only shot round nose, so I can't say a ton about the feed ramp helping or not. I am now on a team sponsored by JP and switched to a GMR-15. I am extremely happy with the JP. It is smooth and fast, and has been 100% reliable. JP doesn't use a feed ramp if that helps with your question.
  20. I run my dots mounted as far forward on the rail as I can. I am able to pick the dot up better in that position. I do the same with my iron sights for my PCCI setup.
  21. MKIV is a great starting point. Tandemkross offers some nice upgrades. I added them to mine and am very happy with it.
  22. I know this is an old thread that was brought back from the dead, but it is kind of timely for me. I am diabetic and learned the hard lesson that dehydration will send my blood sugar through the roof. I take a cooler with sugar free Powerade or Gatorade with me to a match, specifically one bottle for every two stages. I drink even when I am not thirsty to stay hydrated. I also eat a peanut butter and sugar free jelly sandwich halfway through the match. This has really improved things for me in the later stages of a match, plus helped to keep, the sugar spike from happening.
  23. Do you need to make power factor, or are you looking for a steel load?
  24. Agreed. Just like double tapping the stop plate and ruining a good string by adding time. You can't call the shot back.
  25. Sounds like a procedural to me.
