  1. Heeeeehheeeyyyy!!!! [Awesome, dude!!!]
  2. Paul, Yes, I've been to one. I know my projections are way off. I'm also bringing my wife & kid so that's gonna cost me an arm/leg. Thankfully, it's 2 years from now so it should give me a good head start. Do you know where in Greece it's going to be? Edwin
  3. I heard the older ones we're really built like a tank and the later versions were POS. Mine did work for +/- a month. It now works as a practice timer.
  4. Great info! Thanks for sharing.
  5. Clearly, this match is by far the most challenging A4 i've ever shot. I, as well as my shooting buddies from Houston, San Antonio and Louisiana are impressed by the design as well as the 'techno-savvyness' of the organizers. Kudos to The Lee & Nick, Ken, Scott, Arthur, All the ROs and Sponsors who braved the semi-cooperative weather. Heeeey, Squad 23! (you know what I mean...) Edwin
  6. Derrick, Outstanding pictures! You certainly have taken awesome shots. I like the candid ones of spectators as well. It puts a different perspective of our sport. Thanks for sharing! Edwin
  7. I couldn't agree more, Don. I bought my first STI slide/frame , barrel to build my 1st limited gun from Cheryl. I particularly remember her as the tireless organizer of make-a-wish matches.
  8. I'd suggest Rado, for sleek, high-tech dress watch. Brietling to Panerai for bulkier look/feel.
  9. I've switched from Serendipity to SlideRide but finally settled back to Serendipity. I mostly agree to previous posts, it has advantages and disadvantages. I wish C-More made them out of Carbon Fiber Composite but plastic is good enough for me. Mine's relatively new, about 3 yrs old. My black serendipity was 6 yrs old when I sold it with the gun and last time i heard it was still on it. As for ejection, I thought Serendipity's less prone to those issue as it doesn't have that extra thickness that your c-more sits on? I could be wrong though...
  10. For me same answer as everyone else, brass availability. I don't have a supply of 'cheap' 9mm brass. I like to peck brass off the ground during locals.
  11. Not too late Sean. Seems we always have a number of locals that don't preregister but they are the ones taking the chance. The reason we set 6/15 as the cutoff for sending in apps was to ensure we got them before the match (and had them pre entered into EZWIN). We'll take late apps but we don't want to have someone show up and find out their app/payment hadn't made it before the match. Hope this heat takes a break next week! No snow boots nor parkas needed for this match! GRINS I just sent mine out today. My apologies for sending it past deadline. Edwin
  12. At the Open Nats a few years ago, a cold front came & temp dropped to the 40's. Everybody was scrambling for cold weather clothing. I noticed one of the top shooters who was still wearing shorts and a vest over a short sleeved shirt. So I ask him, "Don't you want a warmer outfit?". He said, "Nah, as long as my torso's well covered, the rest of my body should warm up too. It's all in the mind". Somehow, I'd like to agree with him but it was really cold that day and I had to keep my warm clothes on. I guess the point is, If weather conditions deteriorate and affects shooters performance, you should consider it to exploit it to your advantage. Oh, by the way, did I mention the guy in shorts was from Jamaica? Edited for spelling..
  13. Not a training opportunity but worth going to if you're already in Vegas: C. du S.
  14. Slight drift... So who's selling/making a 31+1 rnd mag for 38SC ?
  15. Scores have been posted. 2009 Texas Open Match Results Congrats to all the winners. Big thanks to the ROs, Staff, Sponsors, and of course, all the shooters that brave through the Houston heat! 'Awesome RO award' goes to Ken H. for single-handled running a stage that's 'gator-infested to boot. Don't mess with Ken H...
  16. I would agree to above. I get ES of 10 +/- using same headstamp. For mixed HS, it can be wider. Also, check your powder station if there's anything loose.
