  1. Remind me of the list at Infinity. Where do I find this list? Sorry for slight drift. Never mind. I found it.
  2. Since they had the "GM's shoot free" offer I was going to propose a 'double-or-nothing' for the M's (&A's!) -- beat more than half the GMs and get your match fee back." I shoulda gone for it :D +1
  3. Never seen this kind of rain in a long time. The hurricane last year didn't have this much rain. I remember Hurricane Allison dumping this much and it gives me the creeps. Decided to leave the range before something similar happens.
  4. We are part of IPSC. Last time I checked we are still an IPSC Region. There's about 40+ regions in the world, so not all countries have ipsc...as far as I know.
  5. Happened to me a couple of months ago, too. I'm on the tollway and going 65 mi./hr(+/-) and I was about to pass this car on the slow lane when I noticed it was gradually swerving to the right. I eased the gas and gave it a honk. You can she she was 'startled', and went back to her lane. I again attempted to pass and was successful this time. Upon passing her side, she was still 'texting away'. , as if nothing ever happened. Chalk it up to Karma. E
  6. The Texas Open Stages(Final Draft-USPSA approval pending) have been posted. 314 rounds, 10 stages. Link
  7. I think 95% of alphas is just unrealistic. If you look at the what wins Nationals or the World Shoot, nobody is shooting 95% alphas and nobody is even very close. You mentioned Manny, and if your referring to Bragg, I had a private lesson with him earlier this year (which was awesome BTW) and when he's talking about 95% I'm all but certain he's talking about points not Alphas. We talked about this at length and I took detailed notes. +1 Eric G. shot 87.6% (483 / 551) Alphas ,but shot 96% of available points at the last WS. IPSC is scored points AND time for a reason.

  9. Yes! Stages will be posted here www.texasopenchampionship.com. Not sure when but hopefully soon. From what I hear, most of it are high round(30ish) per stage. I'll post an announcement here once they're posted. Thanks for asking.
  10. Bush Intercontinental(IAH) seems to be the closest. Hobby(HOU) airport is on the other side of town but Southwest & JetBlue lands there. Let me know if you still have problems with the pdf.
  11. A fellow shooter here in houston bought one and I had the opportunity to use it. It generally works. One big advantage is its small turning radius-unlike previous products. This one can turn on a dime and grab hard to reach corners, or if it missed brass from previous pass. I think it'll be very handy for personal practice sessions-more so in club matches.
  12. Kevin, Congratulations! That's very impressive. I know you have it in you.
  13. I LOVE IT. Its like it was made for pistol shooters. I've got alot of Maxpedition packs and the Falcon is my favorite for everything. It carries everything I need and with ease of access. I added the small nalgene bottle holder to the side to carry my drink. The Falcon carries well on the back when you have your pistol belt with mags on. It carries high enough to not interfere. I buy all my Maxpedition stuff from EM Gear. Yeah.....Maxpedition stuff may be able to be bought a little cheaper other places online but Dustin is a shooter who supports the shooting sports so I like to spend my money with him. And through Dustin's efforts with Maxpedition they are starting to cater more to the shooter. Maxpedition has two new pistol rugs out that are just nice and well built and more new prototypes are coming down the pipeline in a few months. I've been using Maxpedition Condor II. It fits my needs so far. I only carry 200-300 round at a time during matches but I put 500-600 during practice. Fluids and other accessories fill up the remaining space. It feels very sturdy that 500-600 does not feel like it'll start ripping to pieces. Very comfortable on your shoulders. The paddings do not feel they're cutting my shoulders, be it 200 or 600 rounds. Not a lot of pockets but it has it in the right places. I like the built in Hydration (2Liters). I bought it for a little over $100 as Maxpedition had a sale, and I also downloaded a coupon. 'm pretty sure there are other sturdy backpacks out there but if you go the Maxpedition route, I think you'll appreciate its workmanship. Hope this helps.
  14. I i've replaced 2 already. My first attempt was a Swenson, a complete failure. That went to a smith. The last two, I used SV Infinity ambis and I thought they're a a whole lot easier to install. I might have been just lucky twice, though. [Results may vary, just my $.02] Edwin
