  1. Dude, Are you sure you didn't lose it here at Space City? You know when you...
  2. It'll be interesting to see the reaction of the folks at the 'Genius Bar'...
  3. Nice shooting on the move(stepping backwards) and reload. 8 C's and 1 D could improve a little bit to compensate for time. Good Job!
  4. I'm afraid I do, as a matter of habit. Once I load and make ready, I holster it then flick it 'off/on'. No matter what you and mactiger's response will be, I will definitely take it off my 'ritual'. Thanks again!
  5. There's a bunch of previous discussions about cross-eye dominance but this one from benos I like most: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry464320
  6. Thats an understatement I saw huge variation lot to lot when I was using it for 38SC. I actually got an 8lb'er that I couldnt make major with. Dang! Do you have a 12 port comp and 8 popple holes in a 3 port hybrid barrel? Nope. I used it in more than one gun. All had no holes and 7 port comps. I had been warned about the variability by my smith and others I shoot with. +1 on Larry's comment. I get varied results with varied open gun set-up. I wish it'd work on my current set-up as I like its characteristics, but I have to switch to an alternate powder for now...
  7. Yep, my class. I had a hard time believing that someone holsters their single action, then proceeds to "flick" the thumb safety on and off, apparently as part of their make ready routine. Undoutly though it is happening. I hope this gets addressed before I have to RM the Area 8 in August, but if not we will deal with it then. 10.5.11.1 A single action self-loading pistol with the safety not applied. Seems pretty clear to me. Gary Gary and Mactiger, Thanks for pointing this out as I'm guilty with this isssue. My question to both of you, gentlemen, is how does each rule relate to each other? Does one supersede the other if the gun is holstered and trigger is not accesible? Thanks in advance! E
  8. The beauty of breathing is it's both conscious and autonomic activity. You can either control it or it will go on auto when you're not thinking about it- don't need to remind yourself to breath when you're sleeping. I oxygenate when I'm one shooter away and not worry about it when I hear LAMR.
  9. Probably the start of adrenaline rush. Experience can dampen it but a good shot of adrenaline is usually good to keep your senses heightened. Moderation is good.
  10. Excerpt from a Child Psychologist's abstract: Adults must understand the development of the child's concept of death to comprehend children's questions about death and answer them appropriately. Children under 5 years of age view death as reversible and not final and may believe that the dead can breathe, feel, talk and continue to grow. While young children may believe in the reversibility of death, separation by death is a painful experience for them. At the age of 5, children become very curious about death and may believe that they and other children do not die. By 7 or 8 years of age, children begin to develop a realistic concept of death and to come to terms with their own mortality. At the concrete level of thinking, death may be personified. Children who have lost a parent through death may exhibit symptoms of bereavement which may be more intense if the child has been lied to and/or has not been permitted to mourn sufficiently. However, even under the best of conditions, bereaved children may commit anti-social acts, be depressed or become extremely good. Bereaved children should be helped to regain feelings of security through love and acceptance and may need the assistance of a substitute comforter. - Shelley Philips But again, I believe the parents are more knowledgeable than child psychologist with respect to their own child. They're knowledge are guides that we may use to arrive at wise decisions. It is always a tough choice. My sympathies and best of luck.
  11. Definitely, Yes! As much as my day job and family permits. I think what's important is the structure of your practice. I would start on my weaker skills and try to incorporate it in my training(both live and dry fire). My 2 cents
  12. If Nicolas is shooting IPSC in Europe, I believe minimum bullet weight allowed is 120 gr to make major.
  13. I had the same issue with Panera Bread. I emailed the sysadmin and toldthe enos.com is a forum and not offensive in nature. They surprisingly unblocked it. Must be one of the exceptions.
  14. Here's how I do it. Not as fast as others would but I keep it simple and consistent.
  15. What's your crimp diameter? Also, a two feet group from a few yards away with 4 inch barrel is still something to be concerned about. Also, I can shoot 124 CMJ MGB at 20 yds at 2-3 inch group freestyle. I am sure HAPs are better but I know 124 CMJ's are not that far. The target was at 100yds. Was the gun rested for this little experiment? Must be my eyes... If that's the case, OP might just want to try a 7-10 yrd target for starters and see where it groups. A sandbag or some form of stable rest would not be a bad idea either.
  16. I chrono and zero a few days(1-2 weeks) depending on atmospheric conditions of match venue.

  18. I'd rephrase to: "I won [Recognized order of finish in your class] [Your Class] class in [Your division] at the [Match you Participated]". ex. I won 2nd "A" class in "Production" at the "2008 Open/Production USPSA Handgun Nationals"(something like that...) My 2 cents
  19. Good movie, I recommend the book too.
