  1. I can't squad yet either, I hope that doesn't have any bearing on the spot paid for already. Its just two weeks before full refund deadline and I'd love to know for sure I'm in to finalize plans.
  2. cant tell a difference in controls and it uses the stock pair of mag springs one of the factory spring pad as a pairing plate. it's not my go to mag for uspsa because it's work to clean out and bends forward fairly far since it's so long for low port shots, just use a 30 with tti +11 as it's field cleanable for dropping outdoors. but when you need 50+ rds its awesome, i put together a pair and theyve both been great.
  3. i use it as the bottom mag for taccom coupled big big sticks, i can get 57rds in for monster or pcc only matches.
  4. i sent mine in back in november it was $20 to reshape them, so much so that it'll need a new spring and follower for $18 i think. Bevin said the reshaping of the mag tube is so different even his commercial cz ts follower wont make it to the feed lips, but he swaps out to his new style if you already bought his guts. turnaround was quick too.
  5. Contact Bevin Grams at Grams Engineering (949) 548-3745 http://www.gramsengineering.com/services.php i sent all 3 of my big sticks to Bevin and they'll now run to 29+1 reliably with good upward nose pressure on the top round. i'm getting ready to send him all my 140s soon too.
  6. i'm using the magpul bipod with a larue qd mount to a short rail section on my rifle's lower handguard and i'm liking it thus far.
  7. old style strike industries 60* with my two work great
  8. i've been using 5.0gr of WSF under a 115 in my 8' gen2. slow enough powder to generate the gas needed and plenty soft shooting. mine wouldnt cycle my 147/TG pistol load reliably when new but i'm gonna try 115s with TG now that she's shot in.
  9. my two have been working fine in both my 3gun rifle and mpx with the older style single ended 60* strike industries safety as well
  10. Are you saying the carrier standing upright on the bcg buffer face and the gas rings should support the bolt's weight, or that the bcg standing upright on the bolt lugs and the rings should support the weight of the carrier?
  11. Is it possible the slr wants to be 'shimmed' a small distance from the rear surface to center the port front to back? As in could you install it up against a delta ring style handguard front support plate and yours doesn't have that?
  12. if you can find a machine shop or garage that does a lot of really small hardware work there's a thing called a 'time-sert' that can repair missing threads like a helicoil but stronger as it's a fully threaded sleeve. we use them all the time at work, usually in well used aluminum housings. i never looked that closely at my mount to see if that's what they already use but it's possible if the threads are steel. there's also a 'big-sert' which can replace a pulled out 'timesert' already repaired so there's options. i'd offer to fix it if i had the kit but we don't have thread kits that small.
  13. i have an 8" mpx 'pistol' that got a mid brake extension and stock for pcc, while i'm not sure the brake did a ton for recoil (its also an mpx and real soft to begin with) it makes mine one of the louder pccs i've shot with and i've never had an issue with the timer missing a shot. i have mine clocked about 40*-45* to the right, away from me and generally towards the RO. i'd probably do it again as i dont need to add a fairly heavy comp to the end for sound purposes
  14. the reason you'd want a tacii is because it's just so sexy
  15. i sent my 3 big sticks to Bevin last november and theyve run flawlessly since, they'll fin 29 with czc pads. i'm about to send all my small sticks to him for the same... which is exactly what he predicted would happen
  16. i have 2 1/8" poppel holes in my gun, stock chamber. i'm running 7.9gr of hs6 under a 124 RN at 1.150 for a little over 170pf, and 115 RN with 8.4gr hs6 at 1.150. i just got some Lovex/Shooters World to try out but havent had a chance to experiment yet.
  17. i'm pretty sure the phoenix comp on my dissident is aluminum, it's really light.
  18. i have the old style strike industries 60* safety in my 3g rifle along with hiperfire eclipse so i just put the same ergos on my mpx. i do prefer it in pcc as my hand is already starting with a suboptimal angle on belt and the 'draw' time is much more important than in 3g where there's ususally a barrel removal going on.
  19. yea i just used my daa alpha x at hard as hell 3gun and it worked great, didnt even think about it really, even reholstering on the clock, but you absolutely must lock it!
  20. i love my p4xi. it's eyebox is very forgiving, and the center dot i find to be red dot bright, plus even if you find your head a little outside the eyebox and can't see your target through it the center dot is almost full bright right up to the edge of the optic so if you're shooting 2 eyes open it'll still be visible in awkward positions.
  21. i was going to build a tactical baby stroller but the local selection at the time was all small wheeled crap so i ended up just buying the rugged gear cart. it's not totally custom tailored but it's been easy and works well.
  22. i have armanov in 9mm, never used a shock bottle. the armonov fails a few cases that'll still pass my dillon single case gauge (i imagine roll sizing would elminiate them) but i like it a lot with the flip cover. i end up case gauging all my rounds now not just rounds for a match, if it's in an mtm box it's been checked.
  23. sorry, meant to say i purchased it as an 8" pistol, permanently affixed the extension and then put a proper stock on. so it's a rifle now, but with no buffer or long heavy barrel it handles like an sbr but can be manipulated like a full size.
  24. I'm considering getting an ultrasonic cleaner for things like my MPX gas system parts, rifle BCG, smaller parts generally, I will not be cleaning brass with it. I've never used one before so I have no experience with brands and quality, I'm basically looking for a small machine that's not likely to die a month out of warranty. What might you all recommend for a machine and how much do I need to spend to make it worth buying?
  25. i run an 8" mpx pistol with taccom barrel extension. it'd be real easy to cut it down after paperwork but it's the govt bs and complications in legal travel that prevent me from doing it yet.
