  1. I’ve never had an issue with the discharge chute, what issues were you having?
  2. Probably due to transportation issues.. you know -Sweden and Finland being so far apart and all.
  3. There was a YouTube video of an interview of one of the founders of either 3gun or USPSA. Can’t for the life of me find his name (is a reg guest on Gun Stories). He basically said it started out with the same top guys taking all the prizes while joe blow eventually got fed up of paying and no chance of anything. So the sport evolved to random draws for prizes with the top shooters now getting sponsored. what I don’t need to hear though is the older shooters telling me how many guns used to be given away at the IRC’s in years past.
  4. I guess it takes that level of spending to get RO's to officiate a match. Being relatively new to the sport I have not seriously thought about becoming an RO.
  5. Keeping the squads a decent size, there are matches up here that have run ~15+ shooters per squad. No thanks. decent t shirts, last year was our first with bigger matches and got 2 nice shirts. This year zilch, the L3’ near here do give out the same black pink shop rags er tshirts year after year. It’s a running joke. we have shot a few icore regionals (us and local) that ended up being free after prizes, ipsc forget it. It’s $$$$$$ to shoot matches up here.
  6. I use a Lee FCD to reload Blazer 9mm brass with 165gr .358 coated bullets for my 929. Since it’s a revo I have to overcrimp which leaves a cannelure type ring in the coating. So I’m doing so much wrong -Lee 9mm FCD with overcrimping to boot. no leading nor accuracy issues. It’s perfect I did recently change to a Lyman M neck expander (.358 die) in place of the sizing/de-cap die on my 650. All my brass is pre-processed and sized separately. The press runs smoother and getting less shaving of the odd round that I used to get. It is creating a bulge that the FCD smooths out.
  7. It was announced at the IRC, scheduling conflict. At least you’ve just been to frostproof. First time for us, just hoping we don’t get the wrong side in the early am when the sun comes up. At least that’s the main complaint I’ve heard of.
  8. As a lowly b class shooter I quite like it when I beat A class shooters at a match.
  9. Up here limited and SS are tied, way, way below production. It varies club to club, some with no limited shooters at all.
  10. Same as below but 2x day dryfire and normal lifting routine (strength emphasis). If my tendinitis improves more grip work - seeing my Chiro tomorrow (it so happens he’s been shooting for 20+ yrs - fellow ipsc shooter)
  11. No Dryfire will work wonders to get out of D class! Don't forget to make some practice dummy rounds as well.
  12. And all at just 19 years old? Wow. Congrats.
  13. I like it better than liquid chalk. I had the gruffel stuff, the DAA is easier to get and the ability to stow it on the belt is a plus. Seems to work equally well. they are probably all buying it from the same suppler, I mean how many companies make grip liquid?
  14. I like the DAA Gripz with the belt magnetic holder. Turns out my wife uses it 10x more than I do. Shoot revo so I don't have a super aggressive grip surface.
  15. Mods? Just had the edged champered but that shouldn't make any difference. I went to .358 from what I read here. They worked great in our first 929's and when I got our 2nd set of fully tuned 929's they worked in those as well. Thankfully as I had 20k of lead on hand. What exactly is your issue? Can you clarify: I load using a Lee 9mm FCD.
  16. I use .358 Ibej's in our 929's. No problems. Did you mic the Gallants?

  18. All of the above and I added this a while ago -just in case This screwdriver set is the cat's meow. I even take it if we are flying to a match. https://chapmanmfg.com/products/5589-ultimate-gunsmithing-set
  19. What exactly goes on in a cross fit gym? I'm an old school body builder.
  20. That about sums it up. I try to make practice as close as possible to match conditions.
  21. I remember one classifier stage at a regional match where an A class then M class shooter shot it after lunch. I was next up and burned it down. Same rate of fire for sure. Hits...not so much. Lowest classifier in ages! OOooppps
  22. I'm in a similar boat with the Lee FCD on a Whidden toolhead. Blue Loctite the die in place is what I had to do. Works.
  23. I can't imagine taking a course with a grip like that. My hands don't develop callous much even with daily dryfire and lifting weights 4x week.
