  1. I have POF triggers in 5 of the AR 9's I have built, 4 Colt and 1 Guard. Not one problem in many thousands of rounds. I like the 4.5 lb curved trigger as that is very close to my pistol pulls. You can find them for sale occasionally for under $130. Great break and reset, very crisp. They come with stainless steel KNS Precision™ Anti-walk Pins, which I would have put in anyway. I have not used the lighter trigger pull or the straight triggers from them, but I would think they would not be any less reliable or shootable.
  2. My PPCs all weigh in about 5.9 lbs. I usually use a shorter barrel with an extension, a light stock, a small RDS and a light handguard. I think it is relative how heavy a gun is to a person's build.
  3. I know Eezox has been around over 20 years and I can't find anything negative about it. I am up to 4 pistols and 2 PCCs. I am going to start using it on my SS 1911 next. I know others are and they say they have good results, no galling, which is the worry with SS.
  4. On all my PCC guns, I now use Eezox, a cleaner, protector and dry lube. Does not attract any dirt and very easy to clean. Now using on my pistols too with same results. Hard to trust a dry lube at first, but it has proven itself to me.
  5. I lock the bolt back, insert the flag and ease bold forward.
  6. I have used Fiocchi 115 FMJ for over a year. 1 MOA at 25 yards with my setup. Frequently on sale at larger on line retailers.
  7. Also Brian Nelson (5th) is one of the instructors at TPC.
  8. Why would a CF handguard heat up more than an aluminum one? I have no trouble with my aluminum one. You would think that the CF would insulate from the heat.
  9. I have about 6,000 rounds through mine now with zero problems. Did not use their upper and needed to clearance a Mil-Spec one to the Guard specs. Weighs 6 lbs.
  10. I would get a CMMG Guard with the Geissele Automatics SSA trigger for under $1300.
  11. I have put the POF 4.5 lb trigger in 6 different PCCs without any problems. Colt and Guard.
  12. Easy to get a barrel extension pinned and welded and make 16 inches. Then put on a stock. Good to go. I make my own barrel extensions from aluminum.
  13. Well said. I have seen competitors do this and I have cautioned them about it. Should not happen if you are muzzle aware.
  14. Here is the one I use. I have two, one for Glock, one for Colt, different colors. Several of my friends have bought them after seeing mine and like them. Can't go wrong for the price. My scabbard choice One thing about carrying, there is a weight imbalance due to the weight distribution and length of our PCCs. You either have to use the snap strap that is designed to go around the PCC grip or carry muzzle down. When I use the shoulder strap, I manage the PCC with my hand, as I would any shouldered rifle. Good habit to have. One of my friends moved the shoulder strap, but I would never count on this as an absolute to prevent shifting.
  15. I like my nose close to the charging handle, but not touching it. I just adjust a stock for what clothing I am wearing. This gives me a consistent LOP with whatever I am using.
  16. You mean like a genuine Colt spacer to be used with a carbine buffer tube and a 5.56 size (3.25") buffer? Here you go: Colt 9mm receiver extension spacer
  17. Are not the firing pin retainers just standard AR parts?
  18. If you ever offer your internal for a Walther PPQ, I know where you can sell 5 of them.
  19. No, the feeding block. The barrel should have a chamfer to help, but it is not like the feeding ramp (block).
  20. Yes, followed and loved your thread. One of the best things I got out of it was the differences you found and how you overcame them. It added to my knowledge of PCCs and what you can do with them. ?
  21. I agree, but have found it is easier to contour the feed ramp than to work over a bunch of mags. Now I can use any Colt mag and not worry. ?
  22. I have run across this problem with more than one Colt PCC. The solution for me has always been to contour the feed ramp. Now I do this as part of a PCC build. Some of the rounds will hit the bottom of the feed ramp that is not ramped and kick up. Look at the bottom of the ramp and see if you can tell it is being struck by the bullet. It should be easy to see where it is being hit. I have found rounds in Colt mags mayh nose up or down depending how many rounds are loaded. You can file or Dremel the ramp down at the flat part. Then polish it. I also use Eezox as a dry lube in my PCCs and it works great. Easier to keep clean and is a great lube. If you use it, be sure to use it on the feed ramp also, which would ordinarily be tough to oil. Hope this helps.
  23. I wonder if it will eliminate complaints about using stick Glock and Colt mags. Not always, but feeding, LRBHO, etc.
  24. World of difference, you will never load by hand again after using this.
