  1. Go to a skateboard shop and get their most aggressive board tape, I like the MOB tape. Make a template and you'll have lots of tape. I use a heat gun and a little gorilla glue construction adhesive to help it stay on the frame. The glue comes off easy when you need to reapply.
  2. Thanks for the detailed review. Have you shot other Tanfo open guns before? Can you compare if you did.
  3. That's good news. Thanks to all that replied!
  4. I'm running low on primers and have some Federal Small Pistol Primers for my minor loads. Are these too soft for 9 major. I'm running AA7 at 9.35 with 124 PD JHP.
  5. I have one there now, no problem.
  6. Try this. I used to shoot NRA highpower. You would sit in the sun with a 9 pound shooting jacket and really heat up, fogging your glasses. This works 100%. Get yourself a bar of Ivory soap. Plain old white bar Ivory soap. Rub the soap DRY over the surface of your glasses, front and back. Wipe off the soap with a tissue. It'll last all day. The glycerin in the soap repels the moisture. Works great, cheap. Keep a bar in your range bag.
  7. I have a V8 Tanfo in 38 Super. It runs great. With the right load it is very flat shooting.
  8. I can tell you I've been shooting Tanfo's for 20 years. I shoot CO with a Stock ll and love it. I have an STI open gun. I Bought a Gold Custom as a back up. I recently sent the STI back for service and have been shooting the Gold Custom. I miss my STI.
  9. For really caked on crap the bead blaster is a must. It is the easiest way I have found. I shot lots of home cast through my blaster. It was the best way to clean. I have since switched to JHP. When I dry fire I add some #9 to the comp. It keeps the comp clean.
  10. It is really quality brass
  11. I can't see how any dovetail plate sits flush with the slide.
  12. The stock sights are around an ounce. So unless you're adding a real heavy optic, it's not much difference. If you're running stock springs, you dont know what you're missing.
  13. Should be fine, I run an 8lb spring on my S2 CO
  14. You are shooting an open gun
  15. You'll get leading. Heard blue bullets are better, never tried them. Good luck.
  16. The Tanfo is a totally different beast than a 2011. Depending on what's done to the Tanfo, properly seated and stock spring will touch off CCI. Again depending on what's done to your Tanfo.
  17. Try this. Do everything you're doing, cleaning etc... Get yourself some Gorilla glue construction adhesive. Coat the bottom of the threads with your Loctite. Then put a coating of the glue under the head of the screws and the top part of the threads so the screws adhere to the dot body. Instead of the screws just holding by the threads in your base, they will now hold to the dot. It may help with the vibration too. They come apart very easy. This has worked for me very well, no problems of loose dots. Cleans up easy. Good luck
  18. Do you have a postal scale? Tare the rod spring and plug, assemble and push down the spring until the plug hits the guide rod. This will give you a very accurate reading. This way is much better than using my pull gauge.
  19. I'm running a 650 with the Dillon size die. No problems in 9 major.
  20. First thing I do is throw it down the driveway. That way I don't have to worry about such things. It's only an AR dude.
  21. This, and table starts
