  1. Pics will do nothing. There is no magic there. I really can't see what they did. It is much smoother though.
  2. I shoot in a ban state. My 10 round mags are 126 long. I would have to buy new mags and a fancy new magwell to prevent this sticking. Instead, I sent my PT grip to Hayes Custom Guns for their grip mod. There is no sticking at all now. Well worth the money, turn around was quick. Reloads are much smoother now.
  3. Are you seating and removing Belling with the same die? I have read their bullets are soft. Maybe the new batch is not cured correctly. Take a bullet and flatten it into a cube with a hammer and see if the coating flakes off.
  4. I think you will gain more from a full polish rather than going so low on the mainspring. Is your goal to reduce double action pull? I don't like going lower than a 14lb spring. It might work just fine. Good luck
  5. Do you have a trigger pull gauge or postal scale? You can do some measuring with each of these items to sort your springs .
  6. My mail lady and I have an agreement. She is kinda small. I tell her to leave them at the post office and I'll pick them up there. I'm known at the post office as "the guy with the heavy packages".
  7. Plug the primer hole. Drill and tap, put in a screw. Fill the die full of water, install the other end. Make sure any vent holes are tapped up. Put in freezer. It might take a couple times but the ice pushes the brass out.
  8. At .014, Winchestet primers will not go bang. Your seating them too deep.
  9. I'm using 9.4 with 124 PD full size 5.4 inch no popple holes. Gets me around 168. My comp stays really clean. You just get a little corn meal residue hear and there.
  10. If primers not seated, should go off after a few more hits. SA/DA shooter here, happens with light triggers. 2 hours minimum in dehydrator right after they come out of the wash. I hate CCI primers Good luck
  11. Yes. I sent the gun in for a cracked slide. I got a call a few days after it was as received. It was being repaired and the technician noticed the frame was also cracked. At that point I was told it was beyond repair and I would be issued a new DVC. They used several of my old guns parts. The magwell, optic, trigger and mag catch. At some point sending a new DVC vs replacing the entire Grandmaster makes some financial sense to them. If they even had all the parts. I couldn't be happier.
  12. I had a 2005 era STI Grandmaster. After tens of thousands of rounds, the frame and slide cracked. After several months wait, I received my warranted replacement. I asked for a DVC-O in 9 major. It arrived in mid 2019. I compared it to a few year old DVC-O of a friend of mind. It had several changes. I finished this season shooting Carry Optics and only dabbled with my new open gun. I have almost 3000 rounds through the gun with zero problems. I live in a ban state and I'm running STI gen 1 10 round mags. I just installed a steel grip and this gun runs nice. I sure hope they don't stop making open guns.
  13. Just put a PT EVO on my DVC-O. I was on the fence. I can't believe how much it calmed the gun down. It felt real heavy at first. I dont even notice it now. Big difference. Go with steel.
  14. I'm using 8lb Wolff recoil standard length spring. Which 7 lb spring are you using?
  15. I kinda like a three dot sight. I don't shoot irons that much though.
  16. Just installed a PT. Complete change compared with the plastic. I can't believe I was hesitating.
