  1. Those weren't on there when I looked last week. Must have made more. Glad they aren't discontinued, they are $10 cheaper than Brownells price. But, I doubt I go with any extensions on factory mags with Magpuls available for $19, $17 with the LEO discount.
  2. I'm using Fed. SP Magnum. Read they are the same as Fed SR, just repackaged. 100% with a 17# mainspring.
  3. The dull mag has the Anti Friction Coating, AFC. When I had my Shadow, I used the AFC mags. They did not require oil to not rust. I preferred them to the shiny blued mags.
  4. This. Dovetail adapter, red dot of your choice, Magpul 21rd. mags. I think the Dawson adjustable rear and thin fiber optic is the best you can hope for if you want to stay with irons.

    Johnny Glocks

I had a question on the overtravel adjustment, and Johnny replied to the email within an hour. I put the 4# spring in as well, using Fed SP primers though.
  6. I have the Dawson's on factory mags, and a 21rd. Magpul mag, and a bunch of the 17rd. Magpuls. I think Dawson might be dropping the +5/6 extensions, they aren't on the website anymore. Brownells has them, for $42. Add $25 for a factory mag. The big Magpuls are a steal.
  7. You might want to look at NRA Action Pistol/Bianchi Cup shooting. Despite the name, there is very little "action" to it. It still has holster starts, but you can shoot it in flip flops. It does have prone, but there is no hurry to get up. I have degenerative disc disease in the L4 & L5, & something going on in the thoracic spine. I bring a folding chair to matches now, the standing was a killer. I'm still the first one up to reset though.

    Primers

Pistol or rifle? SB rifle are they only primers that I could not make work short of a 22# mainspring. Pistol were as good as Winchester, not as sensitive as Federal. The price was definitely right.
  9. I've used 8.2-8.4 HS-6 as well. The dot appeared to track in a more vertical line, & not leave the lens. Lots of good info in the 9 major threads.
  10. Assuming a 16" barrel, that load shouldn't be any faster than a major open pistol load. Are open guns cratering that steel? I'd be surprised that that load is cratering AR500.
  11. We used to get hung up on "class" instead of "division". Anymore, I don't even see that being corrected.
  12. What is the ETA for the new Limited Pro? I regretably sold my Stock II and Limited Pro to fund another toy. I thought I could love a Glock, but I'm not feeling it. I might start saving for the LP, or set up an SP01 for Carry Optics.
  13. I've got 3 factory mags with Dawson basepads/springs. They hold 23 & have been 100%.
  14. I shoot open 3 gun with a mag fed shotgun. I ran a chest rig last year for the Saiga mags, and I did like it to get the weight of 3-4 shotgun mags off my belt.
  15. It's legal. The safeties are retained by the leg of the sear spring that you flip up when you do a disassembly. The ambi side, if you use one, is retained by a roll pin.
  16. I understand it's hole pattern is the same as one of the major models, but the locating pins on the base are in a different place. Some guys are grinding them off, and using one of the other mounts, but I wanted to keep the locating pins, so more than just the screws are keeping it centered on the base. The only thing that might work so far is the Strike Industries GUM universal mount. I may try one if their isn't a dedicated mount out there. I also don't have an MOS, I want to mount it in the dovetail on top of a regular 17 slide. I have found an MOS plate, but that doesn't help me.
  17. I have a new 6moa Sig Romeo 1 that I want to dovetail mount on a G17, but I'm not finding a mount for it. I've found mounts for the MOS, but not a regular dovetail. Anyone have one or know of one?
  18. I petitioned to count a classifier last year, and it took a couple weeks.
  19. I have an RMR low mounted on a G19 with suppressor sights. It is a very full window. It's for carry right now, but I would remove them for competition.
  20. I had a total Achilles tear 15 years ago, then about 5 years ago started having Plantar Fascitits problems. Dr. told me about the calf stretch, and that I was prone to PF since I have a shortened and tighter than normal Achilles. It was a bitch for over a year, but it slowly straightened out. Tendons do not have a natural blood supply, so are very slow healing. There are new treatments like stem cell and platelet rich plasma injections. Big $$$ though.
  21. I used the 121 IFP MG for a long time. Great compromise bullet splitting the difference between 115 & 124. Last several cases have been 124 CMJ MG. 100% reliable. Someone was selling a 124 JHP with a rounded nose for competition, name escapes me right now. Thinking of those when I needed to order bullets. Side note, I opened my first bottle of WAC, 7.0gr. at 1.17" under the 124 MG. I like it so far, seems to dot bounce less than the 8.2 HS6 load I've been using.
  22. I think there is a difference in dqing yourself and just stopping. Dq implies a violation of a rule, which for the most part, is not happening in the above examples. If you feel your concentration is not what it should be, and you stop your match, then good on you. But don't be bullied into leaving the range if you haven't broken a rule.
  23. Do you use STI mags with spacers, or SV or MBX without? I'm loading MG 124 CMJ to 1.17", that fit in mags with spacers. Any longer, they drag, even though my chamber will take longer.
  24. If you grind off the little nipples (bosses) on the mount, the Romeo will probably fit on the DPP mount. But I wouldn't want the screws be the only thing keeping it secure on the mount. The screws can shear without the bosses.
