  1. Mine was called "Black Ice" and doesn't look like any of the current models pictured in the OWB section. Google search results suggest by the dates of reviews (2012-2015) that it was a recent model apparently discontinued.
  2. This one. DOH stands for drop & offset holster. There is a piece between the belt attachment and holster itself that drops it lower from your waistband and cants the holster outward slightly, making the draw a little easier. There are three DOH options, short, long and duty. Being a little older and less flexible in the shoulder, I really appreciate the dropped holsters. You don't feel all hunched up like you're drawing from right under your armpit. Here is a link to one version on the website. https://blade-tech.com/products/large-d-os
  3. Do all the slide milling outfits provide a slide cut cover plate? The ruling appears to require the cover plate to compete in production.
  4. Think about it. One dip per stage, which is about one per two to three dozen shots. That cannot be mechanical, it is too inconsistent. It has to be you. S&W686 is right on. It could be an occasional flinch, but it also could be an occasional trigger jerk in the moment, trying to be fast. Try dry dry fire with with careful attention to your front sight. More than likely it will dip occasionally. Try dry fire doubles, too, just pressing the trigger twice quickly. Do this with all safety precautions (double or triple confirmed empty gun, no magazines or ammo in the gun or even in the room) while walking around the house picking targets in quick succession, door knobs, light switches, vases, lamps, photos, as if you're shooting a stage. Put pressure on yourself. Even without having the gun "cocked" and while pressing against a retracted, unreset trigger, you will see your inconsistencies emerge. Here is Bob Vogel shooting double taps with a G34 very quickly, with no dips. Maybe because he's using John Wick's gun? Oops! That means he's using a gun with which he wasn't familiar other than it's a G34.
  5. I've seen multiple Zev triggers in USPSA competition and they seem predisposed to light strikes.
  6. The OP wrote: "My concern is how deep the magazine tube sits in the loading port and how that would hinder the ability to quad load. " With opening the loading port, there is no problem with quad loading. Roberto Vezzoli has won the world shotgun championship using the 1301. Here is a YouTube link showing him teaching loading, including quads:
  7. Prefer my Dueck Defense dovetail mount (referenced earlier in this thread) which includes a built in front sight. Using a Deltapoint you can add the rear sights creating a set of back up irons. They come with models compatible with several common red dots.
  8. These two threads are in the first twenty or so right below this new question. General discussion of Glock sights: https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/262863-the-never-ending-talk-of-glock-sights/ Adjustable Glock sights: https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/260992-g35-mos-competition-adjustable-sights/

Have you measured your trigger pull?
  10. Used it to mount the Dueck Defense RBU for my Deltapoint Pro on both the G35 and Springfield XD 9. i have the less expensive model with a couple extra adapters. It's a little smaller than the XL but works well.
  11. I found this universal sight pusher tool with a variety of adapters that have worked very well for my Glock 35, Springfield XD 9 and Sig Sauer P228. I am not a machinist by any means. The XL model includes the all the adapters, I believe, but you can also order individual adapters separately. https://sightpusher.com/
  12. Perhaps that rounded corner looks more professional, but.... Take a close look at my photos. They cut the walls of the channel for the barrel guide lower than you did. There is less height to the walls on both sides of the barrel guide bar. There is more clearance under the frame weight, maybe more than necessary, since you can see the barrel guide bar is closer to the bottom surface of the frame weight than are the reduced walls. Your approach may retain more solidity.
  13. I believe it's two per post. If you have three or more just make additional posts. At least that worked for me. See page two.
  14. Looks like it came from the factory. Close fit, clean lines. Great job. How long did it take to work through the incremental cuts?
  15. Does the Romeo have it's own proprietary base pattern or is it compatible with one of the existing MOS options? The reason I ask, is that Dueck Defense's RBU is a dovetail mounted red dot site base that comes in configurations compatible with a range of red dots, RMR, Deltapoint, JP, Vortex, etc. I suspect the Romeo is yet a different pattern just because I was born skeptical and figured Sig, like many other manufacturers, didn't want to risk interchangeable bases. Keeping the Romeo unique increases sales of Romeos for Sig handguns.
  16. Here's another to consider. I've used these for over a year. They fit best if you slice off the little ears at the bottom edges of the magazine's sides. That doesn't compromise function at all, since there is still the round protrusion that snaps into place locking the baseplates on. In fact, I'm not sure why Glock has those little ears there in the first place. It seems redundant, like a belt and suspenders. https://www.jwhcustom.com/product/jwh-custom-heavy-extended-aluminum-magazine-base-plate-9mm-40-cal-357-1-pc/
  17. Looking at the Alpha X holster on the Double Alpha website, itwould require significant grinding to fit a pistol with a frame weight. The flat area in front of the slot where the trigger guard engages would have to be ground down to fit the frame weight. If you look at the photos in this thread you will understand. There are pictures of Glocks with either SJC or Toni Systems frame weights. Toni Systems will sell you the right Ghost holster modified by them to fit their frame weight. I preferred their system because it included the option of a thumb rest on the frame weight. speed holser for glocks with frame weight-thumb rest
  18. The uncaptured, longer tungsten guide rod from Glockstore.com has this statement in its product information: "Total Weight W/O Spring: 46 Grams (1.622 oz.). This race series guide rod adds an additional 12 grams (0.42 oz.) of weight (over the factory length 17/22 tungsten rod) at the end of the muzzle where it is most effective."
  19. Please scroll down this main Glock page for a half dozen or more relevant threads within the first twenty or so, Johnny Glocks, Apex trigger, tungsten guide rod durability, etc. Within these discussions you will find opinions not only on the title topic, but rabbit trails which serve to flesh out the discussions. For example, there is reference to the 25 cent trigger job within discussion of the after market triggers costing $100 or more. You will learn everyone has an opinion, but more importantly there is no single best answer or consensus. Read, digest and decide for yourself.
  20. Not in California! One handgun every 30 days. You sir, have amassed an arsenal. The only good think about the CA restriction is it protects me from bingeing!
  21. Just to be clear about these questions: "is it a toni system mod'ed unit they sell on their website?" don't know who offer this holster, they're goin to sell quite some as they're the 1st one selling a speed holster to accomodate this increasingly popular set up. very neat.i love what has been done to the ghost unit ; does it involve cutting in the material only or did they had to relocate some of the holster's internals ?" 1. Go to the Toni Systems website and choose the English version. Browse the products. 2. Use the contact function to email them the product(s) you want. Answer any questions they may email back including payment method. I used PayPal. 3. They sent an email attached invoice itemizing charges, taxes, shipping. I approved through PayPal. 4. They sent the goods. 5. Given the time zone difference between Italy and California, I would wake up to find an email response to my questions that I'd sent the day before. 6. I don't recall seeing the holster listed on the website, but they suggested it in response to my asking for a recommendation for a holster that worked with my G35 and their frame weight. 7. Then I went through the same email, invoice and PayPal sequence to order the holster. Toni Systems did the modification on a holster they supplied. It was a package deal. The modifications did not alter the internals. If you are good with your hands, buy your own holster and modify it yourself, knowing it will be trial and error, removing material and test fitting until you get it right. I am not that guy, so I had Toni Systems provide the holster and do the modifications. That took no more than about two weeks from order to receipt of the final product. They did a great job. I like the functionality of the frame weight with the option of right or left hand thumb rest or attachment of their mount for a red dot. There were several different style thumb rests to choose from.
  22. Keep us posted as to how your project turns out.
  23. I believe this same discussion is buried deep in the exhausting 1301 Comp discussion thread. The reason QDs don't work is the cup is sunk a little too deep. Back it out with an Allen wrench and it works just fine. Did that to mine several years ago and nothing related to the stock ever fell off. Regarding the other end, I have used two approaches. When my Nordic extension is on, I put short loop of cord on the end to run around the extension, then attach the other end to the stock sling swivel cup. When the Nordic is off, because some tradition trap and skeet ranges prohibit such paraphernalia, I use the old fashioned sling swivel attachment on the end of the piece that caps the standard magazine tube. All three attachments have been bullet proof over several years.
  24. I've done the same with a Dueck Defense dovetail mount for my Deltapoint. It came with a front sight post. I added the Deltapoint rear sight and zeroed it to cowitness below the red dot. The sight radius is short but adequate for backup.
