  1. That's why most of the RMI from NROI drill it into your head. When in doubt, "show me in the rulebook" Very simple to deal with these issues if you have somebody look it up.
  2. Magtech is very finicky ammo. It's made in Brasil by CBC and every one down there tries to stay away from it. I've seen factory magtech jam in a bone stock glock and an m&p. Try the ammo in some one else's gun and try some other ammo in your gun. My vote is that your gun doesn't like the ammo.
  3. If you ever go shoot USPSA down at USA in Frostproof you will encounter a rule deemed the "Luigi" rule. This is pretty much a standing all walls go to infinity at every match. They got tired of me shooting over walls and such.
  4. 9: Cheaper to reload, usually the 2 extra rounds help at most matches. As long as you are accurate the stage planning usually offsets the points lost. 40: Can load minor or major. A buddy loads 180s for major and just changes the projectile to 165 and he is at 135 PF for minor. Grab some Tripp 10 rounders that fit the box and you only have to bring two sets of ammo to a match to chose between them. Plus, 40 minor is a hoot to shoot. 45: America's round. It's what most people have before they started competing. Rock what you got, it's what I've been doing. If I were to redo it I would get a .40 just so I can swap ammo depending on stage breakdown.
  5. You are already allowed a bull barrel and you do not have a weight limit. What would it hurt to add full dustcover guns as well. /s But to answer your question I have heard nothing of changing the division.
  6. From what you are describing I usually see on people that don't tighten the inner belt very well. Really cinch down on the inner then tightly overlay the outer and see if that helps. If not shooters has them for $5 or safariland has a 4 pack for $13.
  7. Division is the equipment aspect. Class is what your skill level is supposed to be. But to answer your question I play in all of the divisions except for revolver. Each has it's own nuances and they all help to round out your shooting. The only hard part from bouncing back and forth is to check your speed between them. Honestly I find open to be very stressful. Every mistake is much more magnified compared to the other divisions.
  8. VZ aztec grips. Very aggressive plus the 20 LPI on the front strap and the gun doesn't move.
  9. What pouches are you using? Quite a few of us will add velcro to the back of the pouch as well to mitigate this. Are you sure you are overlaying the two belts right on top of each other?
  10. Supposedly there was an issue with the locking block going into the down position during stages causing an error when going to holster. The magnets fixed that problem. I've never had it happen to me though.
  11. Multigun is already tough enough to run as it is. Time or Time+ helps cut the reset of a stage immensely. So HF scoring usually goes out the window.
  12. As long as it doesn't bind in the mag I load long. I had zero jhp I could only load out to 1.135 in the same gun.
  13. Whichever you can get to run 100% In South Florida that usually means running a 10/22.
  14. Have you tried running the 40 rounds through the 45 mags? a few of our guys down here run Wilson 47d's with 40 perfectly.
  15. Not Mike, but try this: https://practiscore.com/2016-freedom-munitions-georgia-state-championship/squadding Thank you much. I tried that before and it wouldn't go through. Works now though.
  16. Mike, would you be willing/able to supply a link to see the squad matrix. I'm sure some would like to see who they have ended up with.
  17. CRspeed for everything except for 3 gun. 771s for that stuff.
  18. I was running a Bladetech but am now running a Black Scorpion.
  19. Shoot them first and I mean all of them. Just because they feel better doesn't translate to live fire comfort.
  20. My experience is that whenever you have a back up accessible you never need it. The second you decide to sell said back up, the primary will break at the most inopportune moment possible.
  21. Tried and true, grams springs and followers with Dawson pads. Almost any mix and match of the big names will get you what you need.
  22. 200 in whatever is cheapest at the time of purchase.
