  1. Freedom Munitions and X-Treme Bullets Georgia State USPSA Championship update. I am very thankful every year when I approach our sponsors to support our junior shooters and the overwhelming response is absolutely! Thanks to our sponsors we have been able to cover every junior shooter's match fee. Those juniors who have paid will receive a full refund of their match fee. The great sponsors who made this happen are: Freedom Munitions: 2 sponsored juniors https://www.freedommunitions.com X-Treme Bullets: 2 sponsored juniors https://www.xtremebullets.com Comp-Tac: 2 sponsored juniors http://www.comp-tac.com LA Police Gear: 1 sponsored junior http://www.lapolicegear.com CPWSA: 1 sponsored junior https://cpwsa.com Please take a moment to visit and make a purchase or two.
  2. Hey folks just a heads up we have closed the shirt order. You will be able to order shirts at the match if you would like. Thanks, Mike
  3. Good evening folks, I want to thank Aridwear for sponsoring our shooter shirts again this year. As always they have come up with a great looking shirt. If you have not ordered yours yet I recommend you jump on and get yours now. These are an absolute steal at $30.00 per shirt. We may have a limited quantity available at the match but if you want to guarantee you will get a shirt please order it now. Online ordering will be closed soon. To purchase your shirt go to the following link. https://practiscore.com/2016-freedom-munitions-geor…/forsale
  4. OK, in an effort to accommodate the over 350 shooters who have registered for the Freedom Munitions Georgia State USPSA Championship match we have decided to open up another day of shooting on Friday. It will technically be a staff shoot day where shooters will need to paste and we have 2 embedded staff per squad but we will also be able to accommodate some regular shooters. As a result we will be opening up a bunch of slots over the next week so keep an eye on your email for your approval. At this point I am hopeful that most of the shooters who are on the waitlist will be able to shoot the match. Thanks again for your overwhelming response!
  5. It's almost here! Registration opens in two hours. The match filled in a few hours last year so be ready to go at 8:00 https://practiscore.com/2016-freedom-munitions-georgia-state-championship/register
  6. Wow, with Area 6 in our rear view mirror (an amazing match) it is time to get rocking on the 2016 Georgia State match. We will be opening registration on May 9th at 8:00PM. As you know the match sold out in about 12 hours last year so put this date and time on your calendar. We will be running the half day format match on both Saturday and Sunday August 27 & 28. We are looking for about 80 RO's to staff the match. You will shoot one day and RO the other day. For your service you will get your match fee comped,a staff shirt, lunch, and you will entered for many great sponsor prizes. I think if you ask anyone who staffed the match last year we will make it worth your time. So mark your calendar and prep your refresh button because GA State is getting ready to roll.
  7. River Bend Gun Club is excited to host the 2016 GA State USPSA Championship. The match will be held on August 27 & 28. We will be running the half day format that has come to be loved by many shooters. You will shoot all 10 stages in 5 hours. We accomplish this by keeping squad sizes small and having an over abundance of RO's per stage. Currently we are planning to open registration the first week of May. Last year we sold the match out in less than 24 hours so stay tuned. We will post up on this forum when we finalize our exact date to open registration. Thanks for your support Mike Currier Match Director
  8. I have gone through 3 in the past couple years. Switching to fixed sites in a few weeks. Can't have them flopping around at a big match. Good idea just needs a better quality screw. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. I see rub the stage bay thing in... Lol. You are correct that will be one of the 2016 improvements. My hope is to have 30-40 staff both days. This may be aspirational but it would really allow every competitor to have the same experience. And I must say you crushed stage 4 bay 5 as an RO. Thanks again for coming up to work the match. 10. Unfortunately the experience for Friday shooters was different from Saturday shooters. This was a definite learning for us that we intend to rectify in 2016. Stay tuned for updates regarding the 2016 match. As they say at my company "We know our best was good for today. Tomorrow we'll do better." The team is currently collecting our lessons learned so we continue to grow and improve in 2016. Overall I hope you all had a great experience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. KC is High Overall and GA State Champion for Open. Because KC won the overall we go to the next GM for 1st GM. For D class we need a minimum of 5 to recognize a class. Eric, thanks for the great feedback on the match and thank you for your efforts setting up the match. Your ingenuity setting up the props was extremely helpful Mike

  13. Agree with Aircooled the weather is going to be great. But if you're contingency planning I would always prepare for mud. Bays can get a little muddy and slick if we get a lot of rain. But lets stay positive on this thread. I can tell you from my perspective and yes I am probably a little biased the stage s came out great. Tons of debate on how to shoot them today which to me is a sign of success. Can't wait for people to start shooting them. Good luck to all those shooting this weekend! Mike
  14. Wow the setup is just about done, the stages look great on the ground and we are ready to rock and roll. Gates open at 3:00 tomorrow for registration and will close promptly at 6:00. As a reminder if you have not been to the range check your address and coordinates carefully. There is a River Bend Rd that is on the other side of the county, the address is River Bend Gun Club Rd. See you all this weekend Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. If you are a certified RO who can work Friday and shoot Saturday PM me we just had a staff spot open up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
