  1. You should be fine running it. The 3.25" is measured from the rear of the slide stop pin to the end of the dustcover (App. D5 #23 point 3). The only thing I would worry about is the weight once you add a magwell and the preferred magazine you will run. If you decide to run it without the magwell you are in the clear.
  2. Hmm, usually it's when you put the grams followers in that you start having your issue. Factory base pads I'm guessing? Try out the 140 springs and it that doesn't work you might have to tweak the feed lips to get the follower high enough.
  3. Pistol games use a lot of rounds. Glad you upgraded to a progressive.
  4. Step one, look in the safe and grab a gun with enough mags. Step two, take said gun with mags and enough ammo to the match. Step three, load up and shoot said match. Use what you have for now as there is plenty of time to find something better down the road.
  5. The issue is that it doesn't specify what unserviceable means. I am not a gunsmith so my gun is therefore unservicable. If anyone else other than my specific gunsmith tinkers then I run the risk of voiding my warranty. Would that not be enough to merit a change of guns? Also if you look at 5.1.7.4 it says that the previous handgun is still subject to chrono if the malfunction is not related to an inability to safely fire the gun. My $.02 as an RO and switching guns at majors as well.
  6. Ramshot competition works well just a little dirtier than N320.
  7. Vitaly does it here. There was that one GM who would shoot matches with no sights to practice point shooting. But the big thing for you is that you have been shooting the same shotgun for so many years. If you were to do that same with a single pistol you might be able to do the same thing. Must shooting is simple. Line the sights up and discharge that bullet without disturbing the sights.
  8. Sarge, I recently had a bout of this same thing occurring. About 10-15% of my brass had this happen. One thing I noticed though is that it was always SPP brass. not sure how to fix it though but the reamer does fix.
  9. In limited there is only a mag length. The box you are thinking of is for IPSC standard, a whole different beast.
  10. What exactly is wrong with the STI mags? What internals and basepad are you using. Have you tried borrowing mags from some one else with the same issues?
  11. And that can cause a bunch of problems in it self.
  12. https://www.precisionreloading.com/cart.php#!s=in&pp=60&l=PDH&i=700X4 700x in 4lb jugs just a little more than PV prices. Shipping is not the good though.
  13. What grips do you have. If they are G10 material then you can always relieve the interior of them and save a bunch of weight there. Also there are more ways of shaving weight off of the slide without putting go fast holes in it. I've seen a few smiths turn out SS legal sub 10 oz slides.
  14. Most of the guys down in SoFla run wolf gold. $300/k shipped with a .50 cal can from The-Armory when in stock. Have taken it out to 600 yards and still getting hits on a metric target.
  15. Don't run dry. On a more serious note. Do you still have shells in the tube? If so why are you loading before raking. If not, try to plan to not run dry. If you have to push forward on that pump before you reach for the reload. This is all from my limited experience with a SN using strong hand quads. I would hang up if the pump wasn't locked.
  16. You can just grind the grip safety tab instead of pinning it. You shouldn't have to change the trigger itself, just the internals, or a trigger job. Do you have enough mags? the MBX ones work wonders in the Paras.
  17. Welcome. Good for hitting Fort benning as your second match. Most of the guys in my area have said they will add it to their list of must shoot matches.
  18. A buddy of mine uses solely JJR for his 9 major needs. Probably has run through 10's of thousands with no issues in his 2011. Make sure that they are loaded short enough to fit in your mags before you order them. I've run 9 major through a LW barrel with no problems before.
  19. Find some one with a ransom rest or if you can do a consistent sandbag test.
  20. Not only does it adjust the mags it personalizes them with pretty crescent shapes.
  21. One year warranty for the 1050 vs the lifetime for the others. Dillons warranty service is literally the best there is. Topic wise get the 650 with the case feeder.
  22. Just remember the mag length, when you use a single stack mag in L-10 it increases the max length to 170mm.
