  1. Typical Sig speed.
  2. My MPX was flawless. I kept it semi clean and lubed (everything lubed) I ran factory ammo 115's. I don't believe that the MPX can be over lubed, and the ammo had to have enough power. I guess that Sig will be like normal slug mode in getting a product out.
  3. Anymore news on the updated MPX. I have not noticed and more postings , prices, availability, or pics. Thanks
  4. One thing that I have not seen mentioned hear. If you have the distance to shoot and test, test the bullet on out there. 100 yards is one thing, but many bullets settle down at distance and do much better than originally thought to shoot.
  5. My last open gun from Don Fraley, shooting Win 540 that I had 8lbs of and Montana Gold 115 round nose complete jacketed shot 1.5 at 50. The gun liked the ammo and and AWT builds very accurate pistols.
  6. Personal preference. I have been doing grips for many, many years and it is all in what the shooters mind thinks is helpful. No facts to say one is better than the other.
  7. Oil and grease. Advanced Weapon Technologies makes the best in the industry. Try it. It is not expensive and well worth it.
  8. Sig is the best with the Ruger coming in second and the CZ is not in the running. No offense to a CZ shooter.
  9. Multiple Primary Arms for the price of one MRO. I have 5 that has many , many rounds through the rifles. I would not be afraid to run the dots with any dots out there.
  10. Grab a gun has Rem 700 SPS in 6.5 Creed for 425
  11. Any more info on this ?
  12. If you did not know, the bottom of the MPX mag retainer that has the spring guide that protrudes from it. That can be cut off and cleaned up for 34 rounds reliable. Hope that helps.
  13. If adjusted properly , it won't just fall off. As Shaun said also, a QD mount also has to be adjusted properly to work the way it was intended.Take some of the finest QD mounts made, Larue, that is why Larue sends a wrench with the mounts. Nuts come loose and a PCC 9mm produces a lot of recoil impulse on a mount. You asked for advise and you received some very good advise, but Vortex has great customer service as well. Good luck and keep shooting.
  14. Gasses will be coming back at you for sure.
  15. Federal American Eagle had been selling for less than $200 per K 115 fmj. Worked great for me in my MPX as well as my AR-9
  16. I have to agree on the sight choice with bjones6686. I prefer the Primary Arms over the C-More.
  17. I run a MPX hand/barricade stop on my AR. I hook my index finger around it at the start and I can pull the rifle back into me. Works for me and my finger is not at the muzzle. Offers better control.
  18. My AR set up is a SBR and my barrel and comp combo is 14" oal. I have a Chandler Harwoods forearm on it, very slim and not expensive. I have a Ray Wells welded 45 rnd mag that does great and it is a blast to shoot. I had a MPX and it was much softer to shoot and the better competition gun for me, but sold it. My AR works great. I also shoot a Hyperfire trigger. You could build a new upper in the $250 range, depending on the barrel that you select. Brian Miller makes great base pads that works and he also is on this site as bmiller.
  19. Run the one that you shoot the best, can get a reliable 40 to 45 rounds of ammo in a mag, and have fun. PCC is a blast to shoot. Be safe and welcome.
  20. Tikka rifles are very good rifles for the money. I have a Ruger American that I purchased for my son to shoot in Creedmoor and it is a .5 rifle for $379
  21. I have a rifle that was built by a fellow by the name of Tony Cannon at one of my sponsors, Doc's Pawn and Gun in Greenville, NC The rifle was a Remington short action that Tony blueprinted. I purchased a Satern M-24 barrel from Brownells that was short chambered in 6.5 creedmoor. I had it bedded in a Bell and Carlson Tactical stock and the rifle is a shooter beyond belief. Factory Hornady ammo. I shot a .187 and my fellow shooting partner shot a .208 with it. I have less than $2k in it and I also have a Jewell trigger in it. I am in the process of doing another creedmoor for a hunting rifle and also another target rifle in the new 6.5 PRC. Give Tony a call and tell him Tommy Roupe told you to call. Tony is very reasonable.
