  1. To much work for to much cost of the basepad. Did not work on my Brownells. Someone needs a TF basepad for a Colt style mag , send me a PM.
  2. Are you saying you have a Magpul bottom in a older HS Precision stock, just to be clear. Thanks for the reply back.
  3. Has anyone tried or attempted to see if the Magpul bottom metal would work in a standard 700 bdl cutout. Just wondering since the price is so good on the magpul parts. Before anyone points out, I know that the Magpul is not all metal, mostly plastic. Thanks for any input.
  4. Mike was a leader in this sport and will be missed by many. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I am thankful that I have had the opportunity to shoot with Mike and be on the same squad many years ago with him. God Bless and keep shooting Mike. A great guy !!! Tommy Roupe
  5. 9x25 ,I remember that incident with Merle. I was there. Merle's finger in the trigger guard was a issue if Merle was winning. Many , many moons ago.
  6. Extreme Force Lube . Best money can buy and made by a gunsmith. Sold by Advance Weapons Technology as well as on Amazon. Now there is scent free lube for the outdoor folks that need to keep odors down.
  7. Get the best you can afford. There is no second place in optics. Get good equipment and that will take out one of the mental mind games of the sport. Keep shooting and you will get better.
  8. Thanks for the advise. I have picked up the mag today and it has ran flawless. 45 rounds without a bobble. My friend that had cut and welded it for me is a Aero Space certified welder. Great job. Anyone needing anything similar to what I had done, PM me and I can pass on his number.
  9. Leave PCC alone. Folks are having fun with it. Putting stupid limits on PCC will kill it. Look at the innovations that has come out of it already. There are companies that support PCC and make money at it, can not keep up with the PCC demands now. Let it grow. As for the whining pistol shooters that complain because their pat on the back was not received this last match because a PCC shooter beat them, put a little cold water on your ego and shoot faster. We all enjoy the same sport, shoot at the same targets and try to do it as fast and as possible. I have personally heard other shooters say at matches, there is no place for a carbine shooting a pistol match. Lets have fun, I sure enjoy shooting it. I can say that if USPSA bogs down PCC , I will never renew my membership. I have been in this sport for many, many years. I have been fortunate enough to have shot well in my prime, traveled the US, and have made and met some of the best folks out there. USPSA has been very good for me. Lets have fun.
  10. Any idea what size roll pin ? Great idea.
  11. I am going to pick up my longer welded mag tomorrow. May need to get a longer spring. Any spring options out there.
  12. min. 22" Krieger or Bartlien. Comp or suppressor.
  13. In the old days, I chronoed at the Mountaineer Classic in W.Va at 1610 with 115's. You should have seen the tent puff up from the comp blast. Many, many years ago.
  14. STI parts are out of a bin as well. The tolerances on EGW parts are much, much better . You get what you pay for !!!
  15. I remember shooting some 88 in the old days in open, it was a extremely flat shooting pistol. It was very rough on the cheap poppers. I think that they would be great in PCC. I had heard that there may be some rule changes in the works for PCC. I hope they just leave it alone, because it is fun the way it is.
  16. I would be interested in 2 of the Bladetech pouches and the standard Bladetech holster for $75 shipped to NC if interested

  17. I am in the same boat about the TF and my metalforms, not working. Brian Miller or bmiller on here has the best extension that I have used. Brian has made them with a 3D printer. Brian is a innovator and a great guy. I am considering getting my mags welded together to see how that works.
  18. MPX, go with Taran pads. I have a TF for my Colt style mag, not worth a dime. Changed the spring, still no luck. Put it back to factory, works great. I have a Brian Miller for the Colt and it is great. MPX, pull the base pad off and put on the Taran and shoot a match with out a worry. Save your money on the TF. Wish I could get my money back.
  19. Thanks for the heads up. If it falls through , let me know. I am already missing the MPX.
  20. A small piece of copper tube and some old fashion solder will work for the spring. I remember back in the old days when I had 28 round Para mags made for 38 SC. Thanks for the input from all. Anymore ideas , keep them coming.
  21. Never thought about Taccom. I will get my mags cut and welded. The FMK's would need to have the mag catch cut or modified. My Brownells work flawless, the orange poly follwers on the ACS mags are not as reliable in mine gun.
