  1. Brian is a first class guy. Call him.
  2. I will do $125 shipped to NC if interested.

  3. AR-10. I had both, but would choose the AR-10. Just easier to shoot for me.
  4. The Holosun will work great. I have switched all of my dots (EO Tech) out with either the Primary Arms, Holosun or Sigs. They are all basically the same sights with different names. They are very dependable sights.
  5. Good advise so far. If you are using a PT grip, stay with a PT frame. Makes everything better. Caspian slide will beat everyone else's. Brian at PT started slides, but I have been out of the pistol end for a little while. The Caspian slide will need some cutting to fit, but it is worth knowing that you will have a combo that you won't wear out. I have had good luck with the KKM barrels.
  6. Let us know what you get and barrel length.
  7. Great looking rifles. It does not end with the AR PCC. There are so many options for PCC and there will be more coming at the Shot Show. PCC is growing fast gang.
  8. The 140's are supposed to be in the 2900 fps range , so barrel life wont be a killer. Looking forward to it. Hope it will have the Creedmoor accuracy.
  9. I am looking forward to some reports.
  10. Shot Show is just around the corner, and I had heard an insider scoop that Ruger may be bringing the new 6.5 Hornady PRS out in the PRS rifle. May be worth the wait.
  11. I noticed a Howa heavy barreled action the other day in Creedmoor for $400 range, but can't remember were. I had a old 700 action laying around, bought one of the Satern barrels from Brownells in Creedmoor. Put it all together and probably have less than 1300 in it and it is a 1/4 moa with factory Hornady ammo. I would not sell it for double the money. The 6.5 is so easy to shoot and the inherent accuracy that it produces is beyond belief. Wal Mart has 700's for $379 with a scope, Magpul stock can be had for under $200 and the Satern is under $325. Depending on the cost of screwing it together, you would have a great shooter for little. The barrel, stock and scope off of the donor rifle should bring almost $175 to $200. Down the road, a better stock and trigger could be added if needed. I have seen some shooters do some pretty great work with cheaper guns. You may like the MagPul fine and may get the factory trigger were you want it. Something to consider. My Ruger American Predator in Creedmoor is a 1/2 gun with factory ammo and it is all stock. $389.00. Brownells also sell the Satern in a 308. I have a friend pick one up for a build and reamed it out to a 300 and it shoots awesome. He did buy the M-24 threaded barrel. It is a big piece of stainless. Slick Guns had the Ruger PRS in 6.5 listed for $999

  13. Great way to get your feet wet. If you really enjoy PCC, then you may consider something else, but not a have to . Have fun and give it a try.
  14. EGW model is much stronger for the 1911 design. The one in the pic were prone to crack if much pressure was applied against them and they could be push hard enough to still rub the slide. If that was the case, then there was to much pressure, muscle tension being applied by the hand anyway. Great idea, and it worked for many people.
  15. every thing needs a little oil.
  16. Brian , I can't see that you offended a MPX shooter. I think there is a lot of options out there and that makes the game fun. Keep up the good work. At least you don't take a different design and change something and call it your design. Everything that is made can be made better in some way, just think outside of the box and be willing to try. The bad part is spending the funds to try it. You and Eric are top notch and sure are not afraid to test the waters with new idea's. Keep up the great work guys. PCC is so much fun.
  17. Keep it oiled and cleaned, like anything else, and you will be fine. In our game that we play, shooters get loyal to one brand or the other. I have shot both, custom AR's and the Sigs, and the Sig works for me better. So much softer. I done a side by side test with a custom AR and the Sig, same sight on both and same ammo in both. The comparison was eye opening to myself as well as 3 other shooters that were present. 2 of the 3 other shooters bought the Sig. If you like tinkering and tuning, go with the AR. If you want to shoot and not tune, get the Sig. There are very good out of the box AR's but you will be in the Sig price range. Put a good trigger and stock that you like and shoot, shoot and shoot. I shoot Fed 115's. I have not had to do any load chasing, buffer tuning, spring swapping. I forgot, add a Taran Tactical 11 + basepad and you are set. If you trim the leg on the basepad of the 30 round factory Sig mag ,it will give you 34 rounds.
  18. Thanks for the suggestions, but I have tried it all for one base pad extension. Since my rifle is a SBR, I just went back to stock and my suppressed upper and it runs fine. I know shoot a MPX for the game. Don't need the TF. Thanks again
  19. I am glad everyone has had good luck with TF. I had purchased one for my Colt mags and it is useless. I even cleaned up the edges so the follower was not sticking, no luck. Had stronger springs, no luck. Put the mags back stock, flawless. If anyone needs one for Colt mags , give me a shout. I will make it worth your while just to get rid of it.
  20. MPX, it is the softest shooting 9 going and the mags work.
  21. Looking forward to hearing the reports.
  22. I do understand that the way the handguard attaches onto the MPX is a design challenge with the gas system and all. Eric, I do like the PVC idea and while I am at it, I could have the PVC hydro dipped to look like carbon fiber. With the right zip ties , maybe I could come in at $300 and market it. Will have to wait and see what comes out of the Shot Show. The Lancer looks good, but not enough of a gain for me for that type of money. There will be some good products coming since PCC is doing so well. It is a ball to shoot for me for sure. With enough power in the ammo and a little lube, the MPX is great. I think that even applies to pistols. The PCC market is going to explode if the rules are left alone and we all can have fun.
  23. Keep us posted Brian. When I done the comparison with my AR and MPX side by side, same ammo and same sight, ten rounds through each. There was no comparison on the felt recoil. I hope the CMMG works out. The trick is for sure to decrease the operating mass. Slow the unlocking and decrease that mass, it should be as soft as the MPX. I would love to do a side by side with the CMMG and the MPX. I have enough rounds through my MPX that I could give a honest comparison. It would be great to be able to buy a small handguard that does not cost the inflated prices that are being charged for the MPX stuff. Granted that there is a lot of work that has to go into the MPX handguards.
  24. I think the reason that you see with the MPX's not running is simply the reloads that folks are running in them. I have witnessed shooters running to the absolute bottom of the power factor out of their rifles. Mine has not missed a beat, but I run factory Federal 115's. The reason the MPX soft shooting feel is a light operating system. I would love to see more of the CMMG design, as well as others. Brian, you can do it. Go for it.
