  1. I've never used a powder check and never felt like I needed one. Have you ever caught anything bad with it? I did rig up a camera for the bullet drop station so I can see in every case before the bullet is placed. I did it because it was cool, not because I've had problems with powder drops. And it hard to see in every case without it on the 1050. Cost less than 40 bucks and some zip ties
  2. You can use want ever holster you want, and put it where ever you want on the belt.
  3. That's what I thought. Thanks guys
  4. Shooting production, loaded double/single action place on the table with the hammer back and the safety not applied. Is this a dq under 10.5.3 or is it just the incorrect start position?
  5. Is it production legal? Otherwise what's the point
  6. At least double, especially if you driving far. Having it sit in the truck for the weekend isn't going to hurt anything.
  7. From the carry optics Appendix "BARRELS: Current rules remain in effect - you may replace the barrel with an OFM or aftermarket barrel which is of the same length, contour and caliber as the original barrel for that model of gun."
  8. The word magnifier isn't in the rule book
  9. The rule isn't just for production, It's for all divisions. Don't follow the rules in limited? Bump to open. Don't follow the rules in single stack? bump to open. Makes its easy to enforce instead of having a different rule for each division.
  10. Mine worked fine. Are you having the same issue with 2 different gauges and the same ammo? I would think it was the ammo before I thought it was another bad one from shock bottle
  11. I don't know if it's legal to just take the right side off. But it's definitely OK to run a safety off of a different production approved tanfolio. I thinks it's more common than running the ami safety
  12. Go back and read the approved handgun list again. From the box of glock models. (L models are not approved) C models are allowed providing that the barrel is non-ported and the other requirements are met. Short Frame (SF) versions of models approved.
  13. In ispc they aren't allowed to Polish parts and change out springs. That's what the extreme line is for. In uspsa the regular line will serve you just fine
  14. Best two hits, one procedural for faulting
  15. Right, the same logic would say the alphas are the hits. Reshoot
  16. I've had mine for about 10k, and havnt had one go off yet. No problems once I got it set up
  17. Did he also get to use his open gun in production? If your going to make up the rules might as well go big. 10.3.1 A competitor who commits a safety infraction or any other prohibited activity during an USPSA match will be disqualified from that match, and will be prohibited from attempting any remaining courses of fire in that match regardless of the schedule or physical layout of the match.
  18. 1050 are good for making a lot of the same caliber, 650s are much cheaper to change over. If your sticking with one I would definitely go with the 1050
  19. Buy a Mr bullet feeder, you can use it on the 1050 when you upgrade anyways. If your going to spend Mark 7 money go 1050.
  20. "which is wholly beyond and not attached to a Shooting Box or Fault Line" So the whole thing, not just the parts that actually touched her the ground
  21. If anything I see it as a reshoot, not a procedural. 4.6.1 Range equipment must present the challenge fairly and equitably to all competitors. Range equipment failure includes, the displacement of paper targets, the premature activation of metal or moving targets, the failure to reset moving targets or steel targets, the malfunction of mechanically or electrically operated equipment, and the failure of props such as openings, ports, and barriers. 2.2.3 Barriers – Must be constructed in the following manner: 2.2.3.1 They must be high enough and strong enough to serve the intended purpose.
